Hello! Do you have experience with Ref 2 in a medium sized room ( around 30 35 sq m ) ?
You may find Roy Gregory's installation notes very helpful (link in a post above by dcc ) as he discusses installation in 2 rooms, one being smaller. Roy is very helpful and can be contacted via his website.

Continental Europe -
The Monitor Audio Hyphn were on the list of loudspeakers I checked. I listened to them and was disappointed. They are not in the same league as the AudioNec and Stenheim.

My choice is final. The Reference Ultime Two are ordered. I made a down payment and I won’t change my mind.

I heard the Monitor Audio Hyphn 10 days ago. The day after, I heard the Stenheim Reference Ultime Two.
With all my respect, the Hyphn did not come anywhere near the Stenheims, honestly.

I sincerely don't want to bash Monitor Audio (MA), as, coming from the Hyphn room, I heard just afterwards in another MA room a little floorstander which pleasantly surprised me very much. It was the €2300 Silver 300 7G. Now that I check their web page, I understand why: it seems I'm not the only one who raved about them... (TAS Editor's Choice, Reviewer's choice, Stereonet Applause award - link). There may be other very good floorstanders in that affordable range.

Congrats on the inbound speakers and I'm glad they are from a great company owned by even more great guy (JPP).

BTW - change the name of the thread to 'Found my end game....) :)

Just change 'For' to 'At' in the title

[please forgive my poor English]

Hyphn [€135K] is a different price point to U2 [€180K]
Indeed. Thanks.
There is also a smaller, seemingly stunning, floorstander that I have never heard: Stenheim Alumine Five SE ($ 72K).
I saw their TAS review later on, after I heard the U2: seems that Jonathan Vallin was speechless, as he brilliantly raved about them (Product Of The Year 2022). IIRC, he mentioned a high level blissful mix of body & density, and speed, transparency and dynamics. Exactly what I heard, in various proportions, with the 3 other models I listened to (Alumine Two, Alumine Two.Five, Reference Ultime 2).

This is the type of thread I find most helpful to WBF Members, highlighting a member's direct experience with two lesser known but no less excellent loudspeakers in a very refined high level system. One gentleman mentioned he was adding Steinhem to his shortlist which is great. There are so many choices in the end-game speaker category and now we have a growing list of horn and planar speakers to explore as well. Fun times for audiophiles, although for some pricing will prove challenging.

I would love to see a thread named Lesser known End Game Loudspeakers Under $50,000 and under. Several I would point out would be Songer Audio S1 and S2, Wolf Von Langa Sons, Von Schweikert Endeavor SEs and Zellaton Emotions.

hORN Symphony speakers are among the best I've heard. I rotate these with my YG, alsyvox, Bayz . But these Polish Horns are every bit thier equal. fwiw I too would consider the Stenheim Reference 2!

Not yet. The delivery is scheduled for the weekend of December 16th.
Are you going to add subs or do you feel they have enough bass ?
Also did you compare them to Magicos that have a somewhat cabinet similar aluminum construction ?.
Thanks.
