Magnepan 30.7

Visited my friend with the 30.7s, this time he invited me to listen to his new Goldumnd 350w monoblocks driving the Maggies. I now understand the meaning of Maggies love power. Most likely , the amp was producing 700w with the Maggies which has a 4 ohm rating. Fabulous sound.

This is a very exciting development! (Why did it take Magnepan so many years to resuscitate this concept?)

Don't know why, but glad they did! I have a "friend of a friend" that has a pair (quattro) and after about 5 minutes with them I made plans to use them in my new house. I know it makes me a cretin, but I will use Parasound amps, as I have been very happy with them (2: JC5's: one for the bass and 1 for the highs). And, yes, I plan on a sub or subs...
