While I was in the Philippines for the November HiFi Show I had the privilege of visiting a Wilson owner that has replaced his cables with MasterBuilt Ultra speaker cables and Reference interconnects and power cords. It reminded me of Steve's system. I don't know how to say this, but if you own Wilson speakers you might want to try these cables. The difference is shocking lol. And it appears the customer is extremely happy.

Audio Research REF75 driving the Alex? I would not imagine such pairing - the few times I listened to the Alex I got the feeling it needed serious power.

It sounded really nice. I have never heard the Alexx sound like this before, but I had only heard them at the shows and that's not a fair comparison.

They do. There are passages where the beginnings of clipping are obvious. Run within bounds however I must say, I've always thought the Ref 75 a special product. If there is one amp I would break my no trade in rule for, it would be this one. It works out for the Alexx owner because his preferred listening levels are fairly low 99% of the time. The 1% is when I'm in there LOL
