Mike Lavigne's new speakers

As we all know, Mike is one of the most transparent posters on the forum. So I'm looking at all the clues about his considerations for the possibilities of new Evolution speakers and think I figured it out. He is not being evasive. He said he plans "to have my MM7's as long as i have a room they will fit into". That's the key! The reason he hasn't pulled the trigger yet on new speakers is that he may not be planning on putting them in a conventional room at all. My guess is that he currently working with Evolution Acoustics and an RV company to try and figure out how to replace the side rear view mirrors with a special mounting that will allow him to mount his new outboard System speakers. The trick is getting the proper alignment for excellent stereo imaging and frequency response no matter how far he rolls down the windows! Subwoofers will of course be easy to mount on a roof opening in the vehicle. Can't wait to see the final results!

thanks Marty, for going to the trouble to put that together. :p and you are half right. i did have my son spec out the top level Starlink for the coach so we are always connected so he can support my travels with top level tech advice. he accompanied me on my delivery journey from Nashville in December and so has got it all figured out. but other than Sirius XM and three TV's (all standard on this coach) nothing hifi fancy. it's all about my dear wife feeling at home in the coach. happy wife, happy life is still true. which after three weeks last month in the Southwest she is. and the Jeep Rubicon as a tow vehicle allows us to seriously explore.

i figure 10 more years in my home and room at least (assuming both of our health permits still taking care of the place), when i'm not adventuring. but we will see...........use it, or lose it.

Here is our actual new to us (low milage 2023 model) home on wheels (parked in my driveway with the 50 amp connection plugged in).

Love it. Definitely don't want to nick this side view mirror!

i think in balance i'm decisive and an open book to a fault. this is very major step for me and is a hard one. and being retired and even contemplating down sizing my home situation is a factor. so i'm a bit unstuck on what to do. yet the good news is i'm very happy as i am.

i had not really considered changing speakers, except that my dear friend Jonathan pushed me toward it for 2-3 years, saying he had my speakers sold, and was building a replacement. so i went along, but for many reasons that did not happen, so i was left unconnected and in an open ended situation. did not pursue this position, and not going to make a decision for reasons other than what is best for me. which includes not muddying the water by naming alternatives.

not complaining, no regrets (other than my friend is no longer around). we will see what happens tomorrow when the sun comes up.
Miss him too, Mike. We called each other brother and fought like ones at times, but man, oh, man, I wish I could hear his voice and laugh again!
