Need to advise for fixing woofer.

Hi,

I am using JBL`s 15" Woofer and have a noise problem like the below link.

I think there is a problem with the woofer physically and If i put my hand lightly on the woofer, no sound is produced.

I'd like to hear what is the cause of this noise and if I can fix it myself.

It sounds like your voice coil( copper coil ) has come loose and scratches the magnet.
This happens when the coil has become to hot thus melting the glue .
You can check this with the system switched off , push the woofer back gently with 2 hands and if you hear a scratching noise you know this is the case .
If it is it needs to be repaired or buy a new woofer
