New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

I always thought Phil and I were the only ones to not unconditionally and eternally love his LeBum-ness :D
Here’s my answer. He will never be a Laker ti me and I hope he retires soon.
having said that he will be 37 soon and he is the only player who is carrying the Lakers

So I might say what I do but I have enormous respect for his physical condition. Watching him charge to the basket is like getting bowled over by a locomotive. He is a superb athlete. All you have to do is ask him

Signing in to our private club of 2. :D That's why I was so happy to find my NBA soulmate here from halfway around the globe. :) In Celtics fan sites, James has many other monickers, and I believe in the Warriors lairs too, he isn't that well-loved. :D Actually, the term 'bum' is quite apt to describe him in his early to mid career. He was lazy to carry his home Cavs team for 7 years so he chose the easy path to team with Wade and Bosh. Which was why KG said a few years ago that we (Boston) drove him out of Cleveland. Some truth to that. :)

I have no questions on his physical conditioning nor playing abilities. If the game is a one on one tournament, he would have won many if not all the titles. But the game is a 5-man team ball and he desperately wanted to win that too and claim his greatness. And he had to resort to so many antics and rule breaking schemes to do it. That is how I see him. And that is exactly what Shumpert said - he ruined basketball, the team game. So now, he is a one man wrecking ball in LA, averaging 27 ppg. That cannot be denied.

Several weeks ago I commented to Mike that I thought Utah looked beatable this year when they played the Clippers. Suddenly the Jazz are on a 5 game win streak and 8-2 in their last 10 games to put them 2 games out of first and the 3rd best record in the league plus the way Memphis manhandled the Lakers last night I would have to say that the top 4 teams in the WC seem better poised to go the distance than the top 4 in the EC,

And another game postponed yesterday because teams could not dress 8 players. Will there be an asterisk after this season's winer is declared. Frankly I have seen players on the Lakers team over the past 2 weeks whom I never knew existed. All G League players

And finally Clipps beat Celtics in Boston.

To me the biggest news remains the Bulls who are 8-2 and on a 5 game win streak and 1 game out of first. Are they the Cinderella team or could it be Memphis as the Cinderella team in the East. Watching Ja Morant destroy the Lakers last night was simply amazing. The Lakers as always carried a 14 point lead into the 4th period until Morant took over. In the East the Cavs have become very good and will serve as spoilers I am betting

Lakers remain in the play ins and seem destined to be eliminated in the first game of the play ins as the other 3 teams there can and have easily beaten the Lakers. So for me I now am an observer. I just can't watch the Lakers play the wy they do. Westbrook in spite of a triple double last night continued to get to the basket and miss easy lay ups. For me it has become too painful to watch. The only possible saving grace is that at some point the Lakers might be able to dress a full and healthy team. They have yet to play with a full team and the season is almost half over

Game to watch for me is Ja Morant vs Lakers tonight. I love watching that kid play
Love Morant too. Made a small bet with a friend that JM would be a better pro than Zion, and he recently paid up. Few guys combine elite athleticism with elite feel for the game.

It was a Covid mess but Bulls dominated Atlanta at home last night and beat them pretty convincingly in ATL too earlier in the week.

Totally ageee. He will be MVP within next 5-7 years. The kid has the 3 best shooting record for points in the paint. He ain’t aftsid of no one

Zion to me has been a no show in his early career

Lost track of the NBA for a couple of days with visitors in town.

Nets crushed the decimated Clippers.

Clippers then beat Boston. Wasn't sure how they beat the Celtics then saw that Jason Tatum didn't play in the game. Made a little more sense then.

It was like watching a G league Celtics team. They filled in 2 or 3 players who looked like college players. Tatum has-been on protocol for 3x times now.

I feel your pain. Just looked at the Clippers roster and there were 5 guys listed I have never heard of.

At this point I think the Clips need to declare this a development year and find out which of the young guys can play in the NBA.

Embiid lords it over the Nets with almost a full lineup. He is one heck of a high strung big guy, and that is what it takes to win games. He is a Hakeem in waiting. IF he wins a title, he'll be in that level. :D He and KD apparently are not great friends. :D

Celtics beat the Suns 123-108. Nice win for Boston, Phil.
Thanks for the great news to start the New Year here, Mike. It's almost an incredible headline since the Celts were on a 3 game losing streak. And the Suns had Booker but no Ayton. Tatum is still out too.
