New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Ouch

Paul George out at least 4 weeks with a torn ligament in his right elbow.

Just when Clippers were beginning to play well
I was reading an article yesterday where Jerry West said Kawhi may come back this season. Very positive.

Then today see the PG13 is out 3 to 4 weeks. Not positive.

Oh well, hoping for better but have to have realistic expectations. Looks like this season is a write off. Only good news is that my hopes weren't high going into this season.

Otto Porter Jr and Gary Payton ll are great adds for GSW
That's what I don't understand why Danny or Brad never picked up such 'cheap' contracts with great performances. :( And they would get a 40 year old named Iso Joe so he can have a full circle being a Celtic. :D

It seems to me that LeGM is still quite bullish on his $44.21m boy Russell. :) And I agree that Westbrook plays very hard, sometimes too hard.;)

playing hard and playing well are two very different things
But Westbrook has to play hard first before he can play well. He can't possibly play soft or standing by and still play well. :D Maybe he's on a 38 game slump. :D But I wonder, if his 'kind of play' is why KD gave up on him and the Thunders ? A running ballistic missile? But again, Westbrook averaged a triple double the year KD left OKC, and the year after, and the year with the Wizards. Prompting the Big O to say this:

"I look at Westbrook, and he got triple-doubles this year, and no one even noticed it," Robertson said. "They didn't think it was such a big deal. ... I think that's totally unfair. I think he should have won [MVP] again. If he [averaged] a triple-double again, and he didn't win [MVP], so then why keep stats then?"

In his lone season with the Wizards, Westbrook, who was traded to the Lakers this summer, averaged 22.2 points, 11.7 assists and 11.5 rebounds per game, and he passed Robertson as the all-time leader in triple-doubles. When the NBA MVP voting results were tallied, Westbrook received only a single third-place vote. Nuggets star Nikola Jokic ran away with the award, earning 91 of a possible 101 first-place votes.

LeBron might still be behind Westbrook but if you watched the game last night it was obvious that Westbrook has no problems getting to the basket. It just that he can't make the shots

LeBron can say what he wants but the reality is he is the only player who is productive on a daily basis but at his age it has to take its toll. I truly feel they will be lucky to finish in the play in round

FWIW, the Jazz are on th move and breathing down the necks of the Suns and GSW but in the West there are only 5 teams above .500

painful to watch RW miss a dunk or easy layup and turn the ball over in crucial part of the game…and he doesn’t seem to care if he does it repeatedly. the team seem to lose momentum everytime LBJ goes out and he takes over.

I think he is mostly responsible for losing the game last night.

very frustrating to watch

To me it’s totally unwatchable. The Lakers even briefly held a 6 point lead in the 3rd before they once again caved

You have to admire Lebron.
He is the consumate point guard. Dishing the ball off to the role players.
Westbrook is doing what shooters in a slump do. Keep shooting. It well regress to the mean.
With all due respect to Steph Curry I hate the 3 point shot.

Thats why the GSW have the best record in basketball and the Lakers are a sub .500 team

Yeah. We all know the team with the best record wins the tournament.

Maybe the only excitement left in this season is what will happen before the trade deadline. Acc to Woj, Cleveland is the team to watch in the Simmons sweepstakes. And what will LeGM do? IT has just been waived.

Cleveland is an up and coming team but what will they have to give up for Simmons

I feel bad about IT. I have always enjoyed his play

I think it's wide open
You have the defending champ.
Lakers,Nets and Suns,Warriors.
Who can stay healthy?
Then there is the covid19 wild card.
Don't throw away your betting slips yet.
Let us not forget the Lakers and the Nets were supposed to play for last years championship. How did that work out?

Another tough loss by the Clippers last night as Denver gives up the lead in the 4th period only to come back and win with a 20-20 by the Joker

Anyone noticed the Cavs beat up on the Raptors 144-99

Cleveland seems to be the Cinderella team this year along with the Bulls

Another come from behind loss for the C's , aka Blown Big Leads. To the Wolves where a name I never heard of , Nowell, burned them for 20 points. Tatum was out on protocol, so the C's newbies failed to gain traction. Maybe it's time to bring in Lillard or McCollum, or even Mark Jackson as coach.

tough loss. TheWolves are an up and coming team and have done the same to the Lakers "twice"

Yeah but Phil, looks like the Wizards are better w/o him, no?
