New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

At 41-9 the Suns have the best record in Basketball and somehow I still have to wonder if they have the wherewithal to win it all. Bucks seem to be playing better this year than last and the Bucks destroyed a similar Suns team in the Finals last year. I must admit that the thought of the Suns winning it all would certainly be a great accomplishment for the coach and team

Yet watching the shorthanded GSW come from behind and beat the Spurs in San Antonio as Steph sealed the victory, makes me still think that one has to be crazy to bet against Steph, Klay and the GSW in a 7 game series

I have to finally admit that the Nets who were favored to win it all just lack what it takes to close out a game. I don't think the Nets have been at full strength anytime during this season

Looking at the East, the heat are strong but not consistent. In the East Chicago seems to have had their 15 minutes of fame but I don't believe they have the depth to go 7 gossamer against either the Bucks or the Sixers who I see as the EC finalists this year

The team that tends to excite me the most however is the Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant who has achieved super star status in just his 3rd year in the league

This is a terrific read about Morant, the team and LeBron

Agree with the Bucks and Sixers. They're solid. Have experience, and have good running legs. Hats off to Philly for playing well despite the absence of Ben Simmons. Imagine if they can get 2 stars for Ben before the trade deadline. They would be awesome.

I always admire teams who rose via the old fashioned way - draft picks and honest to goodness trades.

It's nights like this that I hate being a Lakers fan. Again no LeBron. They take as always an early lead and they are finally overtaken in the 3rd

End of 3 75-72 Blazers

I think the Lakers are just on auto pilot til season end. The toilet has been flushed

And at the end the Lakers caught a break as the Blazers fouled to often at the end to seal their fate

Final Lakers 999-94. No Lillard tonight

Lakers played like crap so Portland is not the team we knew from last year

I knew it, you love LeBron :D:D:D:p
I have to think that the stench is so bad as the Lakers get flushed down the drain that LeBron wants no part of it and is taking some load management to avoid being associated with the smell

Lakers vs Clippers tonight. Usually a fun game to watch but both teams are hobbled.
Is hobbled the new verbiage for "both teams suck". I just cannot watch the Lakers any more. It's just too depressing. Clipps should beat them easily tonight as Lakers played yesterday

He may have done that in his first year with the Lakers, when he had Lonzo, Randall, Ingram, Josh Hart, etc. He disappeared in the last quarter of the regular season with some sort of injury. This season he's scoring 30 point a game and that is prodigious no doubt. But somehow Westbrook is not the Westbrook that he nor anyone projected him to be. Well, the chase for Kareem's scoring title will be slowed down a bit. He will catch Karl Malone, needing 1,300 points to do that. Hope he doesn't run out of gas. :D

I’m not so sure LeBron will overtake Kareem. I hope he doesn’t

just like the Spurs had their Admiral the Lakers had their Captain

Believe it or not this was a very good game Lakers overcome a 17 point deficit to take the lead at 108-106 with 28 seconds left in the game however Morris comes back with a 3 to lead 109–108 with 18 seconds in the game. AD makes a 2 but Jackson answers with a 2 and win 111-110. Went down to the last possession

Reggie Jackson has an amazing shot and won the game

Trae Young drops 43 points last night as the Hawks cool off the Suns. GSW behind Klay Thompson 3 point accuracy beats the Kings to come within 2 games of the Suns. As good as the Suns are I cannot see. them beating the Bucks and maybe not even the Sixers whereas a healthy GSW team with Klay might have a different outcome

From Woj via CBS Sports, Clippers make a trade with Portland.

The 2022 NBA trade deadline is still nearly a week away, but the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers aren't waiting until then. On Friday, the two teams agreed to a big five-player deal that will send Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and a future second-round pick to Portland, and Norman Powell and Robert Covington to Los Angeles, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bledsoe had been just OK with the Clips and Winslow was a roll the dice acquisition that hadn't panned out yet. Norman Powell is a good player averaging 18.9 ppg. Not familiar with Covington.

Looks like Portland is clearing cap space and the Clips pick up a good player in the process.
