New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

From Woj via CBS Sports, Clippers make a trade with Portland.

The 2022 NBA trade deadline is still nearly a week away, but the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers aren't waiting until then. On Friday, the two teams agreed to a big five-player deal that will send Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and a future second-round pick to Portland, and Norman Powell and Robert Covington to Los Angeles, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bledsoe had been just OK with the Clips and Winslow was a roll the dice acquisition that hadn't panned out yet. Norman Powell is a good player averaging 18.9 ppg. Not familiar with Covington.

Looks like Portland is clearing cap space and the Clips pick up a good player in the process.

Portland is but a shell of its former self

Im not sold on Billups as a coach

Kyrie seems lost with OUT KD. I imagine how he feels to have the guy who you want so much to play with in your team be absent. Harden out last night and Kyrie played terribly. Wonder what an addition of Ben Simmons can do to the Nets.

I'm stunned this morning. I have been resisting all temptation to watch any further Lakers games as the team just continues to go from bad to worse. Last night I took my wife to dinner at a local restaurant with a sports bar and as we were eating I saw the Lakers were getting killed and down 21 pints. I pointed to the screen and said Tony wife...."see, that's why we are here and Im not watching.

I almost choked on my breakfast cereal when I saw LeBron was back and had lead the Lakers to a win in OT 122-115. That leaves them 2 games under .500 and comfortably entrenched in the 9th spot and the play in. I can't wait for their season to be over and to watch Pelinka try to assemble a team next year where they have no significant draft choices

What is going on with the Nets as they are on a 7 game losing streak and Harden is again on the train block. nets were the favorite to win it all but they have been hobbled by injuries as well as a flat earther who only plays "away games"

Memphis has the 3rd best record in the league and would be in 1st place if they were in the EC. Memphis is going to be a force during the playoffs

Chicago back in 1st in the EC but a very. healthy Miami team is now making a push

Embiid rises above Jokic in the Kia MVP ladder

Portland continues to lose as do the Nets. Interesting year as the season unfolds

Clippers play the Bucks tonight in LA.

First chance to see Norman Powell and Robert Covington play for LAC.

Tough assignment against the defending champs.

At the end of the first quarter Clippers lead 32-28

Norman Powell entered the game and hit his first shot for 3 points.

Clippers started Amir Coffey rather than new guy Norman Powell tonight.

Good news is that Norman Powell had 9 points for the Clips in the 1st half - good start for him.

Final score Bucks 137 Clips 113. Ouch.

Best news was Powell finished with 28 points and Covington had 13 for the Clippers. Good start for both new players

KD puts on a good public face, but he's gotta be pissed at Kyrie on the vaccine stuff and Harden showing up out of shape. He can't share any of the energy required to lead, it's all on him.

I think the Nets are fading fast. Sixers and Bucks are very strong and the Heat is healthy. Bulls still in first but I’d be very surprised to see them finish in the 1 spot

Agreed on Sixers/Bucks.

Bulls missing 3 starters now and top three off the bench -- hard to see how they don't fade. Hopefully everybody back by late March.
