On another note, this Spurs team presents too a tightly bonded Big 3 that loved to play and win for each other in the mold of the Heat's Big 3 joining hands 3 years ago. The desire to win is right up there with the Heat. And this may be their best chance to get another title given the 'age' of Duncan, I'm sure they don't want to spend another year to get it. And I just love the pep talk of coach Pop. It's much better than his halftime interviews with Doris Burke.
My favorite: Doris: 'Coach, during the first quarter, what can you say about the blah blah blah blah......' Coach Pop: "DEFENSE". Doris: "But in spite of that, the other team still blah blah blah blah blah...What adjustment do you intend to do?" Coach Pop: "DEFENSE". Doris: 'Thanks Coach'.
Trivia time, while we await the all-important Game 2 for the Spurs. The Spurs have 3 French nationals, 1 Argentinian, 1 Brazilian, 1 from the US Virgin Islands, and a few from the continental USA.
The Heat have 1 alien - Birdman, and the rest are continentals.
