Thankfully the Pacers stay alive.

Now this is news......

Report: Lakers to seek permission to talk to Tom Thibodeau

The Lakers will ask the Bulls for permission to speak with Tom Thibodeau, according to ESPNLA.com.

This comes on the heels of a report that the Lakers will interview George Karl, Byron Scott, Kurt Rambis, as well as pursue Kevin Ollie and John Calipari.

Thibodeau and the Bulls have had a bit of a tense relationship at times, with issues with the front office about his assistant coaching staff. Thibodeau is obviously a brilliant coaching mind that can make the most of a depleted roster, but would be in for a completely new challenge in Los Angeles with the rebuilding Lakers.

It's pretty obvious the Lakers' search with be expansive, as they look all over for Mike D'Antoni's replacement. They will likely take their time, waiting until free agency to make a final decision, but if Thibodeau is interested, the Lakers may have their home run hire right in front of them already.

Wouldn't that be ironic. If Thibs (Mr. Defense) goes to the Lakers to replace D'Antoni (Mr. No Defense).

Speaking of which, Warriors play great defense to beat the Clippers last night 100 - 99 to force game 7 Saturday.

Still pulling for the Clips but the Sterling scandal has made it difficult.

and today's news states Donald Sterling has prostate cancer

Texas series headed for game 7. Dallas can even go as far as facing Miami again if their run holds.

Houston falls in a thrilling game.

Hardly Phil

3 pointer at the buzzer beat Houston

My espn mobile had a bad feed, Steve. It said game over and time at zero but there were player substitutions. on refresh the shock of my life Portland won by 1 ! wow

How awesome is it that 3 out of the 4 series in the West Conference are going to game 7! And the other series required 6 games with a buzzer beater! The NBA [L]east Conference should just pack up and head out for summer vacation. Let the winner of the West be declared this season's champs.

For me, this has been the best NBA finals that I can recall short of the Showtime years.

My sentiments too. All 8 western teams are tough as nails.

'Hibbert woke up from his slumber. ' I like that description from the Associated Press. He's been like a sleeping dragon.

Tremendous pace on the Clippers/Warriors game 7. Sad to see a team lose there. But happy to see Doc advance, otherwise, he would have done no better than Vinny del Negro. Blake is taking it to the next level. He should be a money man at cruchtime, now he can assist to DeAndre Jordan too.

I thought Clipps got lucky at the end and won it as well as so many unforced turnovers by the Warriors

2 more game 7s in a few hours. Rooting for Nets and Spurs.

The Clippers and Warriors played a great series marred by the Donald Sterling crap. Golden State was without Bogut for the entire series

Dandre Jordan was a big factor in game 7 with 15 points and 18 rebounds.

Draymond Green played incredibly well during this series for the Warriors and emerged as an important player for them.

Clippers play in OKC on Monday night - not much time for rest for either team.

Nets and Spurs advance.

I'm glad my prediction of the Hawks or the Raptors being in the Eastern Finals is wrong. :D

The Nets, steals the all-important final game in the series with 1 blocked shot, by Paul Pierce. Iso-Joe was spectacular, playing like a vintage machine. Garnett made some shots, and Jason Kidd is silencing his critics early on, now he gets a shot at the Heat.

The only good thing about the Nets advancing is that they seem to be the only team able to beat the Heat

Exactly, Steve. PLUS, for this Celtics fan, a chance for Pierce and Garnett to help in the Heat's possible destruction. :D

I wonder if the result would have been the same in the OKC-Grizz series if Zach Randolph hadn't been suspended. He clearly threw a punch but why weren't there suspensions in the Pacers-Hawks series for a fight
