New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

I wonder if the result would have been the same in the OKC-Grizz series if Zach Randolph hadn't been suspended. He clearly threw a punch but why weren't there suspensions in the Pacers-Hawks series for a fight

Zach would have helped a lot in the last game, I believe. It was a silly out of control punch as OKC was up by like 17 at that point. Paul George narrowly escaped the ax as he reportedly stepped inside the court while on the bench during an altercation. And boy, had he been suspended, it would have spelled doom for the Pacers as he scored 30 in game 7.

Pacers fall behind early once again. This Wizards team is a much better team that the Hawks, who tired out the Pacers with their running and gunning. Wizards have young guns in Wall and Beal. Experience in Ariza, Nene, and a banger Gortat. The Pacers may not be just slumping, they're facing younger and faster ballplayers who are hungry for a good ball fight. Hill and Hibbert have to be like their old selves. And the bench of the Pacers need to step up.

I will bang this drum again, Pacers need a PG, particularly in the 4th, to organize their offense. Nash or A Miller should have been acquired.

Z Bo would have made a huge difference.

Nets don't stand a chance vs the Heat.

Anybody notice that Hibbert just doesn't have any legs under that new big body of his? Feet of stone man. Gotta give credit to the young men from DC and their coach too. They are a fun team to watch even if it is your own team they are whooping.

Alright I'll say it, if CP stays healthy Clips win championship.

And how crappy a coach does this make VDN look?

I like the look of the Clippers. Lots of guys who can make baskets, and strong defender in the paint, and you got the experience of a championship caliber coach in Doc, this team looks good.

Didn't notice his added weight, Jack. He didn't need to bulk up from last season at all. He averaged 20ppg in the eastern finals last season. Today I think he is doing 0 or 2 on the average. Game 7 he was good at 13 points and I thought it would continue. But it didn't. :(

Yeah, and I think Chris Paul is one of the all-time great PGs with court feel and savvy as good as anyone who's every played. But he hasn't really won, and a) the clock ticking and b) has a coach he believes can take them there.

I don't know if they win the championship but if they beat OKC I believe they can take the west. Chris Paul looks amazing tonight as the Clipps are up by 24 with 3 minutes til the half

I think Scott Brooks is let go after this season.

If Danny Ainge put up a team like what Doc has in the Clippers, I'd be very contented. Deep. Crawford, the 6th man of this year, is Vinnie the Microwave Johnson reborn. Chris Paul reminds me of Isaiah Thomas in his prime, gutsy, fast, great moves, and a determined scorer. Then there is Granger and Big Baby who can do some things here and there. On paper, this can be a champion team. Doc has to lead them in executing it.

That was to be said instantly had OKC lost to Memphis. But imo, I can't really blame him. After losing Harden, the management really has not added some stock to help this essentially 2-man scoring team. Perkins is a passe type of center who basically does not do anything anymore. Fish is at his twilight, so you gotta expect great scoring contributions from Ibaka, Sefolosha, and Reggie Jackson, and he is their 'best' 6th man.

Yeah, but they just never look that good on offense. Very little good ball movement leading to good shots.

Doc is transforming Griffin, a strong coach needs to transform Westbrook.

With this team and coach Chris Paul can take out LeBron this year.

Clippers looked great tonight. Hope they can keep it up.

That's the key, if they can keep it up. They have inside game, outside game, running game, lob city, and also a decent defense. It's still a long way to go, and Doc has to make them play consistently.

I found a comment made yesterday by Charles Barkley to be quite interesting when he said he expects the Wizards to be in the Eastern Conference finals

Hi Steve.

Yep. I posted a few days ago (or so) that who would ever have thought Washington was the 2nd best team in the NBA [L]east. Put the Wizards in the west and even when they are playing at their best they would be no higher than the Dubs.
