New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

And I just read that the C's had shown interest in Dwight Howard. WHY??? Destroying the fruits of the rebuild.

That rumor must be coming out of Houston. Danny Ainge is too smart to do that.

By the way, Durant is going to the Clippers, not the Lakers or Warriors. Trade for Blake Griffin.

Blake gets to play for his home town team and Durant teams with CP3 for a title run. ;)

And the Warriors just keep on going like that Duracell bunny......

WASHINGTON (AP) Following one of his worst offensive games this season, reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry stopped thinking about basketball and recalibrated his mind. It worked out just fine.
Curry was all systems go Wednesday night as he made 11 3-pointers and scored 51 points to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Washington Wizards 134-121 for their eighth straight victory, which came in spite of a monster performance from John Wall.
Wall scored a season-best 41 points in the shadows as Curry shot 13 of 14 for 36 points in the best first half of his career. After scoring just 13 points Sunday at New York, Curry was in a zone, tying Gilbert Arenas and Michael Jordan for the Verizon Center record and reaching 50 for the second time this season.

I am beginning to think that the Bulls record season (1996 I think) of 72-10 could be challenged this year by GSW

Same here, Steve. My personal take is 74-8. :)

I read Curry poured in 51 points against the Wiz the other night. Incredible scoring machine.

With the cap soon to rise, I wonder why the press isn't asking who the Thunder can pick up in free agency to add to KD and Westbrook?

I think KD wants to get out of OKC

And with the precedent shown by David West in sacrificing around $10m to play for the Spurs with hopes of a ring, KD may just do the same in choosing a title contender. The guy plays like a champion and he needs the actual crown to cement his place in the NBA.

I have always felt as most that records are made to be broken. The1996 Bulls record looks in jeopardy. However the 32 game win streak by the Lakers looks to be secure for years unless the GSW get even better because as great as they are, they got close as did the Heat. But almost only counts in horse shoes

As they pretty much toy with or destroy everyone, the key beating the record looks to be avoiding injuries.

With their unbelievable perimeter shooters and Curry getting 11 threes yesterday it's like them playing 7 against 5

Does anyone feel the 3pt line should be further out? I'd like to see a better balance of long range shooting vs midrange game/post play.

I'm fine with that or a 4 point line. Since it's all about rewarding the talented shooters from way out there. Centers and 7 footers now rip the net easily as in the persons of Olynyk and Porsingis. Bill Laimbeer started it but Ewing, David Robinson and Duncan never continued it, let alone Shaq. :D

Shaq? Shaq would have beaten out Kareem had the foul line been 4.5 ft instead of 4.5 meters. LOL!

There have always been the versatile all around players. Magic more than Bird started the recent trend, at least in my memory. Players like Nowitzki, Porzingis, and Ben Simmons (LSU, soon to be NBA) continue the trend only they are now verging on 7 foot instead of mid six footers. Don't think they will ever take over the league as most are defensive liabilities but they currently have the "wow" factor of being able to hit the 3 pointer but also post up and sometimes even drive.

Don't think pushing the line out would affect the good shooters that much. I think it might be interesting to see what would happen if the 24 sec clock were taken away or the time increased. Would be get some plodders and some racers (plodders vs plodder might be unwatchable) or would not much change?
