New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Watching the Cavs last few games, I was surprised at the playing time given to Delli, who thru 40 games averaged 27 minutes, while Kyrie is doing around 26. The GM of the Cavs spoke today about the missing magic inside the locker room, and it's quite evident that the main reason would be LeBron. Tyron 'the Glue' Lue rises up to prominence today. When he was on the staff of Doc in Boston, I didn't even know he was part of the organization because he would sit behind Doc instead of beside Doc. Congrats to him for this new challenge. He controlled Allen Iverson in the Finals then, the should control LeBron now. :D If he can't hose down the supposed King, then on the bench is yet another assistant coach, Vitaly Potapengko, a 7 footer, who once played for the Cavs. That size should control James somehow. :D

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr, after being sidelined from the Warriors’ first 43 games this season, finally will be back on the sideline for their home game against Indiana Friday night at Oracle Arena (10:30 ET, ESPN).
And Luke Walton can go forward with his personal plans for All-Star 2016.
Walton served as Golden State’s interim coach while Kerr recovered and rehabilitated from two offseason back surgeries. But Kerr’s return renders moot any speculation about Walton’s eligibility to serve as coach of the Western Conference All-Stars.
All-Star coaches, by NBA rules, are drawn from the team with its conference’s best record as of the official cutoff date, in this case Jan. 31. The exception is when a coach and his staff earned that honor the previous season, in which case the coaches of the second-place team handle All-Star duties.
Kerr, Walton and their staff worked the 2015 All-Star Game in New York. Some had wondered if Walton, because he had not gone as “head coach,” might be eligible to go again this time for the Feb. 14 game in Toronto. He was, after all, eligible for Coach of the Year consideration, even though his official head coaching record remains 0-0.
The NBA, addressing the All-Star question in December, had made no official ruling. Now order has been restored; Kerr again will be the Warriors’ coach of record (he gets credit for the 39-4 start too) and won’t be eligible to work the All-Star Game.
Currently, San Antonio’s Gregg Popovich is in line to go with his staff. The Spurs (37-6) have four games by the Jan. 31 cutoff, while Oklahoma City, at 32-12, has five. All San Antonio losses and all OKC victories still would leave the Thunder a half-game behind the Spurs. Popovich previously coached the West All-Stars in 2005, 2011 and 2013.
Kerr took his leave of absence on Oct. 1 after leading the Warriors to a franchise-best 67 victories last season and the 2015 NBA championship. He underwent surgery on a ruptured disc in late July and required a follow-up procedure in early September. He has been involved with the team’s daily activities recently, accompanying the Warriors on their just-completed trip to Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago.
Walton oversaw Golden State’s 24-game unbeaten streak to start the season and was named NBA Coach of the Month for October/November. The team’s 39-4 record through 43 games ranks second only to the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls (40-3).
While the victories and defeats officially accrue to Kerr’s coaching record, Walton’s even-handed work through the hot start and high expectations has put his name into conversations for NBA head coaching vacancies this offseason, insiders say.

LBJ (of whom I am not a fan) better win a championship this year , far from a given, very far with Love not comfortable ithe team and all this negative vibes about him. The entire NBA will be gunning for him. Now one can understand why he didn't stay with the Heat. Pat Riley wasn't going to take this on his turf and it seems that Erik Spoelstra is not the nice, pussy-cat-type fellow he seems to be.

Listening to the sportscasters on this story I am constantly hearing about "Lebron and 'his' camp" and that nothing happens in the Cav organization without his knowledge or blessing. I don't give a crap how great an athlete and superstar he is but he goes further down the drain in my book. The GSW totally embarrassed them this week and late in the 4th with Lebron on the bench and sitting beside Ty Lue you could read his lips and what he was saying wasn't pretty. Kobe did this once as well and players need to know where they get their pay checks from

That's what I told my son too yesterday. He's under pressure as the whole big spotlight is on him now, bigger than ever. Individually, he may have the best talent and muscles to ever play the game, but the game in a league is not played that way. As I said before, he had only 1 convincing Finals that he helped won. And that is not what greatness is all about.

You may be right however I watched Steph Curry outplay, outshoot and outscore him earlier this week

Steve, I think James' aging process is faster than I thought. :D

Muscles ? yes .. Talent? I beg to differ .. Let's not forget the stellar people who have played this game before him.. The Big O, Magic Johnson, AIr Jordan etc ... One could say that Magic has that combination of talent and let us not forget that Magic at one point was a "air"-type player... He had knees problem early (after his rookie season) and throughout his career and changed his game accordingly .. Made people around him great consistently . Truth to be told he had a spat with his coach (Paul Something) when he was a rookie, to this day Lakers remember him pushing Norman Nixon out or so it was believed. In his defense he played the position of Point Guard better than anyone ever played it so .... IMO the greatest freak to ever play this game talent-wise was Wilt The Stilt Chamberlain.. A complete athlete who excelled in whatever discipline he put in mind at despite being 7 ft tall...

He certainly was. Unfortunately the book that got written showed him to excel in a different light

Well that too .. however we frame it and however politically correct we want to be ... His sexual prowesses if true were unusual and expcetional ... to say the least :b

What I meant by individually was a 1 on 1 game and not 5 on 5. :) And perhaps he's past his 'prime'. By that I am thinking of those prime games where he scored 60 points against the C's in one playoff game where the C's could have wrapped up the series. I am far far from being a fan of James so I just have to use his own word when he said he was taking his talents to South Beach long ago. :D Hmmm...Just a thought, Bill Russell would have given him a tough time in a 1 on 1 game, and certainly, Wilt would have beaten him easily. :D

And btw, he's playing against the Bulls now and can act as 'playing coach'. :D

Where did you read he is now an assistant coach

Steve, I was just kidding. Given his penchant for defying play calls by Blatt and doing his own plays, I jokingly told my son that he is a 'playing coach'.
