New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

One trade I've been thinking about is Clippers and Cavaliers - Chris Paul for Kyrie Irving.

Not that I don't like CP3, but LeBron and Chris are big buddies. Maybe paired together they could win a championship.

From the Clips side, Kyrie is a great talent and a lot younger than Chris. Downside with Kyrie is that he has been injury prone.

Hope I don't get struck with lightning for thinking this.....

Will start watching the NBA intently as soon as the NFL season is over ..But it looks like no team has an answer for the Warriors... Not yet anyway. They seem to just come up and play their game and dare you to stop them. The game with the Cavaliers was that. Curry was not fully "operational" and the game went on with the Warriors not playing very well but still able to hold off the Cavs and beat them. It wasn't so much that the Cavs managing to make a game of it as much as the GSW visibly not at full efficiency. They were clearly the better team and they have been anytime they are on the Floor against any team.

I do not see who in the East can stop the GSW. In the West I would be concerned about Pop's bunch. Old, "slow" but with a mastery of the game strategic and tactical aspects no other team including the GSW has approached. As for the Clippers, Doc needs to review his formula. It's not working in LA.

GSW will repeat.

IMO Doc has proved to be nothing special with a team that on paper should be doing a whole lot better this season as well as last

I agree about GSW. They are just so much fun to watch

The SAS believe it or not are only 3 1/2 games back. They seem to be the only answer for the Warriors but as Frantz says they will repeat barring some major injury

Looks like Doc has his work cut out for him as President/Head Coach. Kinda reminds me of the Rick Pitino era in Boston, which was not pretty at all. Ainge gave Doc a nice bench back in 2008, with Eddie House, PJ Brown, Sam Cassell, James Posey and Tony Allen all contributing while the starters rested. The bench of the Clippers haven't been a semblance of what they should be so far.

The team that will be able to lower the point output of the Warriors will be the one to dethrone them, and my thinking is that only the Spurs with Pop can figure that out come playoff time.

And now for some NBA trivia, the all-time highest salaries to date:

Looks like the big bucks started to come in starting the 90s...

Rick Pitino era in Boston...that's not something I want Doc and the Clippers to emulate!!! :)

Lots of Clipper fans have been dogging Doc lately. I am still with him but my confidence is waning a bit.

Clippers won yesterday without Blake vs Utah. Wizards are up next.

Maybe Doc will move to just the GM slot and hire Thibodeau to coach. Thibs is tough on the players - grinds them down. That would be my objection to him.

Clippers just won big over the Wizards. I think Doc has benched Lance and Josh, their off-season main acquisitions. So Paul Pierce is back to starting. And I think Jamaal has to start too. A Moute isn't doing much as a starter really.

Well, I wouldn't want to think of any trade scenario that would make LeBron win another title. He could just keep his 1 title (against OKC) in his whole career. Oh, there was another that someone helped him luck in. :D

Not sure what Josh did to tick Doc off, maybe too many ill advised three point shots. Lance runs hot and cold - I'd play him to find out what he can do - he hasn't been a flake with the Clippers.

Cole Aldrich played quite a bit tonight and did well - except for the slam dunk he missed. :)

Paul Pierce started slow but is rounding into form. You know Doc trusts him.

Anyway, 2 - 0 with Blake out. I'm OK with that.

I'd like to see Cleveland win a title - for the city, not LeBron. They haven't won a pro title in Cleveland since the Browns won the NFL title in 1964. I am from Ohio and had a lot of friends in Cleveland.

Even better if it helps the Clips get better.

Lakers visit the TD Garden on what is Kobe's last game in Boston. I missed the intro, it was said he was given some cheers but during the game, got the boo's. :D I can't say I'm going to miss him. :D

Lakers came out to beat Boston tonight, and one can only guess why with this scoring unit they have managed to win only 6 games. Kobe even hit a clutch 3 down the line.

Warriors fall to the Mavs as Curry sits out

FWIW the Spurs are one game behind in wins and 4 behind in losses. The Spurs will be there at the end to contest the west

As usual! Are they immortal? Has there been a team so consistent year in and out for the past 30 years in any sports?

Clippers defeated the mighty 76ers tonight 130 - 99.

That's 6 wins in a row for the Clippers with Blake Griffin sitting out with an injury.

I happened to catch the end of the first half and the half time show of the Lakers - Kings game on TNT last night. Lakers were down by 20 some points but Kobe had scored a bunch in the first half in his last game in Sacramento. I turned the game off.

Just saw now that the Laker kids made a huge comeback and even took the lead late in the game. D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson led the Lakers while Kobe sat in the 2nd half. That should give some encouragement to Laker fans.

Meanwhile, Clippers play the Hornets tonight and hope to win their 8th in a row. Griffin still out. Maybe they should trade Blake! :)
