New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

I'm watching the Clippers game on TNT. Charles Barkley just picked the Clippers as the team with the best shot at knocking off the Warriors in the playoffs.

I am accustomed to Charles dogging the Clippers every chance he gets. Have to check to see if my ears are cleean. :D

By the way, Kenny did not agree with Charles.

The memory I have with the Clippers knocking out the Spurs in 7 games with the acrobatic shot by Chris Paul is still fresh. If that was a Celtics team I'd put that game and series on top of my all time great list. Doc has a way with revving up his team come playoff time. Clippers have a colorful season starting with the DJ signing at his home, then with the punching incident of Griffin but on paper they are a solid team with the likes of Cole Aldrich being 'discovered' from the bench and Austin Rivers doing some good games on back up. As usual, Doc with be extracting all the minutes he can get from his starters and the only question that remains in my mind is if Blake is primed or not for the playoffs after they layoff. If they meet the Warriors, it would be an interesting one. I agree with Barkley, they have a good chance, and I can't wait to see that matchup as I've wanted it since last season, no thanks to the Rockets. :D

Two historic games tonight one at Staples where Kobe finally says goodbye. He has 21 in the first half. His video tribute I thought was terrific especially to end it with Jack Nicholson.

Then at Golden State. What can you say except the Warriors continue to play at heights not ever before seen. Warriors up 67-46 and have 14 three pointers. Curry has 7 tres and needs one more for 400 on the season. Curry has to be the MVP again. He makes it look so easy History will happen tonight as they finish the season at 73-9

End of the first with Steph having 25 in the first half and Warriors finish the half 70-50

Aside from the 2 history in the making games tonight, the best news for a C fan is that we are in the draw for the top 3 college pick in the June Draft. The top 3 will be picked by the Lakers, Sixers, and the Celtics, basketball powers in the 80s.

Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors for breaking the Bull's record. Very much deserved!

How about Kobe scoring 60 points in his final game as Lakers win 101-96

What a final game

Kobe definitely went out on a high note with 60 points. Congrats to him on a great game and a great career.

Amazing season for the Warriors setting the all time win record. Curry had 46 points.

Can they win the championship again? They are the odds on favorite for sure.

Hard not to bet on them to repeat. They face the Rockets, who got in because Utah lost.

Watching replay of the Lakers game, Kobe was hot and my son said if he can still shoot like that, he might un retire next year. :) Maybe join the Wizards or something. Get a sixth ring even. :D

It's been too painful to see such a great warrior play hurt most of the time and hurting his team in the process. I would not add a player or change anything in GSW. I mean really nothing, they should stay as they are. Re-sign everyone. Let the team simply gel and be. Remember the Thunders were on their way to a CHampionship amd perhaps gretness. they lost James Harden... they haven't been the same since. James is The Man in Houston but Houston is going nowhere.

Curry is the best player in the NBA and is playing right now in a special zone. Yesterday he shot in a way that is difficult to describe. Curry is at an unprecedented level of shooting accuracy . You don;t guard him as much as expect for his shots not to fall. When a person is shooting from the top of the logo and making those shots routine then you know you have something special.
He shoots 30.ppg
He passes 6.7 APG
He steals 2.1 SPG # 1 in the NBA ...He defends on top of that!!

I haven't seen him play in a NBA stadium yet. I must

After 20 years of seeing Kobe's scowl, I must say that his post game interview now with no guard up at all was really something.

Happy retirement Mamba. THAT is how to go out in style.

As for my lowly Pacers, they dodge the CAVs. I hope they make it to the second round.

I enjoyed at the end of the game and end of his talk to the crowd, he said "mamba out"

Truly a Cinderella ending that couldn't have been any better unless he sank a 3 at the final buzzer to win it. He came close

Next All Star Game they gotta put up a blind-folded 3 point shooting contest. And put Curry's name in the trophy. :D

He actually has a shooting stroke that is consistent with these long shots he takes. Normally people just heave it up and throw the ball as far as they can without much aim or posture coming from the wrist, but Curry has a recognizable 'flip', that's why he makes a lot of them go in. Super shooter.

It's crazy. His release has hardly any side spin.

Maybe this is why Phil has been dragging his feet in NY regarding a new coach selection........From nab.com

No. 2: Walton could talk to Knicks during playoffs — Let’s get one thing straight. The first order of business for the Warriors is defending their NBA championship. But since the playoffs could stretch out over two months, it is possible that assistant coach Luke Walton could interview with the Knicks — or any other team — during the postseason, as long as it doesn’t interfere with his Golden State duties. That’s the word from Marc Berman of the New York Post:
If Knicks president Phil Jackson wanted to talk to Warriors stud assistant Luke Walton during their expected long playoff run, Golden State would not stand in the way, according to an NBA source.
Golden State’s position is that an assistant can interview for a head-coaching position “as long as it does not interfere with the team’s preparation during the playoffs,’’ the source said. For instance, an interview would need to happen in the Oakland, Calif., area at a convenient time with the club enjoying a couple of days off.
It’s unclear if Walton will want to grant any interviews as the Warriors embark on defending their title after breaking the record for best overall record with 73 wins, topping Jackson’s 1995-96 Bulls.
Jackson said he soon will embark on a narrow coaching search with coaches he “already knows.” He made a reference the search could go on until July, presumably referring to after Walton is done with The Finals.

The Playoffs have begun and on a weary note, Steph Curry has a sprained ankle in a win over the Rockets.

Toronto lost at home to the Pacers as Paul George comes up with a big time game as he is so used to.

Boston falls short by 1 in Atlanta and the Mavs battle OKC in a while.
