I don't understand the hatred towards MeloAlmost forgot to mention that the Clippers crushed the Trailblazers last night by 20 points.
I was very happy to see them do that to the newest Trailbalzer, Carmelo Anthony.
Jimmy Butler is a great Player IMHOMiami Heat is back in the Eastern powers map. Butler is doing great there.
I don't understand the hatred towards Melo
Sure he is beyond his prime and overrated but I think of him as a amicable guy, quite unlike the self declared King
This reminds me of someone else: the self declared KingHe was the kind of player who was very happy to shoot the ball but often displyaed a lack of interest on the defensive side.
ExactlyI would agree with you. Compared to the self declared GOAT, Melo is a LAMB, maybe a lazy, soft lamb, but I find nothing really to dislike about him as there are a lot of players worse than him and are even 'head cases'. I admit I had high admiration of Melo seeing him in the 2007 Western Playoffs against the Lakers as I was watching in NJ then on TV. Strong, tough guy, no nonsense. Whatever happened to him to spiral his career to almost oblivion is beyond me. But at least he doesn't do 'illegal' acts like those of the fake GOAT.
Christoph, this is another one for you.
It may be redundant to call him the traveling king, the king troubadour, or the king globetrotter. Take you pick they are all good.
Well I guess Melo is going to be a fixture in Portland this year
Blazers fully guarantee Carmelo Anthony's contract
Official release
The Portland Trail Blazers have amended the contract of forward Carmelo Anthony to be fully guaranteed for the 2019-20 season, it was announced today by president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.
In eight games (all starts) since signing with the Trail Blazers on Nov. 19, Anthony, 35, has averaged 16.9 points (44.8% FG, 38.7% 3-PT, 86.4% FT), 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
Anthony (6-8, 240) was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1 after averaging 22.3 points (57.4% FG, 45.5% 3-PT, 88.9% FT), 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists while helping Portland to a 3-0 record.
I guess if he sets his mind to play like what he used to play in his early days, he can survive.
