New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Tough but not surprising loss by the Lakers at Indy 105-102 as they give up a 10 point lead at the end

So here we are tied between Lakers and Bucks and Lakers playing the Bucks on Thursday

No AD or Kuzma and Lakers again had poor shooting from the line and just couldn't pull it off with only LBJ. No Kuzma and AD meant they were giving up 40 points

Sounds suspiciously like load management ;)

Clippers face the vastly improved Suns team at Staples tonight....just in time for their number 1 draft choice center Deanre Ayton to return from his 25 game suspicious substance suspension.

I'll have to watch the Suns broadcast since we reside in Suns territory.

Suns star guard Devin Booker isn't playing tonight. Too bad. He's fun to watch and is their team leader.

Kelly Oubre is playing for the Suns tonight. He was mouthy when the Suns beat the Clips in Phoenix recently. Clippers owe him a little pay back.

Oubre just collapsed to the floor after "running into" Paul George's shoulder.

I don't think PG saw him and the hit was inadvertent. ;)

I didn't think of that, but these days anyone is free to load manage himself. :D

Doc Rivers fires back at LeBron James' load management take: 'Whatever LeBron says it is'

“It’s our philosophy,” Rivers said of load management when asked about James’ comments. “I don’t know what theirs are. I think theirs is whatever LeBron says it is, to be honest. That makes a lot of sense to me. I like what we are doing, and I think it’s the smart thing to do. Who knows? We’ll see at the end.”

Offensive foul from Oubre, then? :p

it truly is going to come down to this. The league has always about chasing the ring but now the chase is different as before the 82 games was the mettle that players played through to get to the finals. Now the regular season is nothing more than 82 games where management (and the players) are deciding that they need a little rest for LM as what matters now are fresh and healthy players that will have the stamina to close out all other teams. I guess what infuriates me is the fact that the public who pays a fortune for tickets don't always get to see the top players do what they are paid to do and that's play. To pay someone $130M to sit out 20% of the games just doesn't't sit right with me. Several years ago when Pop tried that at the end of the season by resting Timmy and the league office came down hard on SAS

Does the CBA now address LM and is it accepted by the league office as nothing more is said of it. Clearly the league IMO is run not through the commissioner's office but rather through the players and their managers

I was very impressed with the play of Sabonis last night. He is big, tough, strong and very accurate

I watched him when the Clippers played the Pacers and I was impressed with Sabonis, too.

Most of my NBA focus is on the Western Conference so sometimes I miss the up and coming players in the East

The East helps getting tighter as there is all of a 1/2 game difference between the 2nd and the 6th spot

The league this year has reached parity as there are so many great teams. It is going to be a combination of survival of the fittest at the end as well as how much Load Management each team has carried out. For some teams like the Clippers it seems the final standing is not as important as having a rested and healthy core of their best players

The handwriting is on the wall. Lakers can kiss it goodbye if AD leaves as that have so many draft choices to give up to the Pels for getting him

Anthony Davis not ready to commit to Lakers

Anthony Davis is not ready to commit to the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of free agency, despite his stellar start to life at the Staples Center.

Davis has barely missed a beat since swapping the New Orleans Pelicans for the Lakers prior to the start of the NBA season, helping Los Angeles to a joint-NBA best 24-4 record.

But Davis is a free agent at the end of the campaign, and the six-time All-Star has previously talked up the "possibility" of joining hometown team the Chicago Bulls.

"I still look at it as we'll see what happens at the end of the season," Davis told ESPN.

"Obviously, the season's going great so far and I'm trying to stay in the moment and worry about that when the season's over. But I feel like we can do something special this year.

"With the team that we put together and the coaching staff that we have, I don't feel like no one can beat us but the Los Angeles Lakers.

"But when that time comes I'll think about it and see what's going on. But right now I'm trying to focus and win a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers."

Since teaming up with LeBron James in Los Angeles, Davis is averaging 27.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Davis, though, is questionable for Thursday's blockbuster clash with the Milwaukee Bucks – who the Lakers are tied with for the best record in the league – due to a left ankle sprain.

"We'll see how the ankle feels and hopefully I'm able to play," Davis told The Dan Patrick Show.

Clippers vs Rockets this evening at Staples.

Should be an interesting game.

James Harden said he's going to walk from Houston to LA....claims it is fewer steps than he takes during an NBA contest.
