New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

And KD, he left Golden State to prove he could win in his team. 2 years passed and it didn't happen. Nets were solid favorites with the trade for Harden but father injury happened in the playoffs, which is not a first by any stretch. Think Kareem missing game 6 of the 1979 Finals only for the rookie Magic to take over and lead them to the clinching game. Lakers then had the hamstring Brothers and James Worthy sitting with a broken foot that cost them the title a few years after. Walton had a relapse of his knee injury, preventing a Celtics repeat in 1987. And who could have forgotten Isiah Thomas limping though a finals in which they lost. KD's own Achilles injury was a killer in the finals loss to the Raptors. The formation of big 3s or big 4s ultimately depends on grandfather health to come and bless them too. Hope the final 4 teams remain healthy and nothing gets worse.

In spite of everything about the Suns Clippers this could well be the best chance at the the Clippers winning it all as they have had a 60 year drought. Win or lose however all of these old school teams are going to have to make major changes by both draft choices and trades. The league is now all about youth speed and outside 3’s

Well what this season has proved to me is that the unknown factor in each team is injuries. These were huge in causing eliminations with the Lakers losing AD and LeBron to name just one team. But Nets last night was another and if Clippers succumb to Suns without KL that will be another. The speed of the game no doubt affects these injuries.

Clippers led the NBA in 3-point shooting this year.

I knew that but they lack the youth and speed. Right now they are barely keeping up with the Suns and trail
57-54

this game is full throttle. Clipps look good but will they keep up

Could be the Clips came into the game with only 1 1/2 days off and the Suns have been off for nearly a week.

Didn't expect a Clipper victory in game 1 - but would take it if it happens.

two terrific games today. I continue to cheer for the underdogs and hope the Hawks beat the Sixers

AS for the Clippers-Suns, my money was on the Suns to win the West but watching the Clippers win their last 4 game to beat Utah I feel the Clipps are the underdogs in this series. Clippers have never been to the WCF and it has been a long time since the Suns were in the finals. I originally felt the Suns were unbeatable but the Clippers are peaking at a perfect time and the Suns have been idle for a week so this series could be very close and unlike before where I felt the Clippers couldn't beat the Suns without Kawhi has changed after watching the Clippers final 2 games

Personally I feel there is something going on with his knee that says there is no return in sight and it is possible that if the Clippers win the West and go to championship series, Kawhi could very well be put for the rest of the season

BTW did anyone see KL on the sidelines for games 5 and 6. I didn't. Jamal Murray showed up every game to support his team. There''s a lot about KL that I just don't understand other than his great basketball skills.

Here's great read on the series...

Series Preview: Suns, Clippers each peaking heading into conference finals

With Phoenix coming off a sweep and LA eliminating top-seeded Utah, this conference final is likely headed for extended action.

I know very little about KL, but really respect him as a difference maker. I’ve seen him defeat my team in a championship and also lead my team to a championship. In both cases he was amazing. My feeling is Kawhi protects Kawhi.

I don't disagree with your comment.

In terms of pace, both the Suns and Clippers played a more deliberate style.

Season rankings have the Suns just one spot ahead of the Clippers and both in the bottom half of the rankings.

This is only one game but the Suns are playing as if destiny is on their side.
PG played his heart out

too much Booker abd no KL

One has to speculate about the absence of KL but let’s not forget there was no CP3 either

Suns feel like the team to me. And to your point Steve, winning w/o CP is a big deal.

Bucks/Nets was pretty epic yesterday. Brook Lopez has to feel super lucky after nearly blowing the game w/a bonehead play. Giannas and KD were totally punched out by the end, Middleton established himself as a star in this game IMO

Suns protect home court and the Clippers need to adjust. Suns are an amazing young team and I read their GM won the Exec of the Year Award. Hats off.
