For what it's worth...
1.) I have to admit that every tape Bruce has ever loaned to me for the shows is quite exceptional. Of course I have no knowledge of what magic he imparts to them prior to him putting them in my hands but it is categorically exceptional.
Since I do 5 to 8 High End Audio shows a year I can tell you that this is also the prevailing thought shared by the hundreds (crap load) of show goers that have been through my display rooms over the last few years, GREAT TAPES.
2.) We need more music on tape!
3.) Yes, I have been guilty of badgering Ying Tan (every time I see him) to issue his library on Master Tape, so I applaud his getting into the business! Thanks Ying!
4.) If the Analog Tape Movement (ATM) is to grow... we gotta frekin GROW!
More music, more customers, more converts to R2R = more money to MAKE it grow. Product R&D is expensive (if you do it right), parts and labor is expensive, shows and travel to them is expensive, money doesn't grow on trees.
5.) It's the influx of money that will drive more companies to issue their libraries on Master Tape.
6.) More Master Tape copies being available will cause a fellow with a $20K+ or $30K+ vinyl system to determine he wants to give the "other analog" a try. This guy can afford to buy the tapes, tape decks, accessories and whatnot that will infuse money into the ATM and allow it to grow.
