have listened to DaVa Ref in new Sonoro and the combo sounds great with fab harmonics and stable, solid image.........
the Sonoro is mounted in the Groovemaster VTA Lift and hooked up to a Parmeko oilfilled vintage x40 SUT

this arm is fantastic!: smooth, detailed, dynamic and with harmonics to die for........even the DaVa Reference tracks like a demon

It is good to hear and also kind of unbelievable that some people actually got their tonearms delivered after more than a year of waiting. I have been promised a delivery "next week" 4 times now in the past 14 months and I don't believe it is going to happen. So many excuses each time, non response, I am so fed up with this.

I am very happy to report that Alfred has delivered the tone arm to me.

It arrived safe and sound this morning.

Fit and finish are good, but I haven't mounted it yet. I will as soon as possible.

It looks and feels lovely.

A happy ending for me.

Thank you Alfred.
he paid about 1000 EURO for the tonearm,i have now sent him the latest 12” Ortofon tonearm ‘SONORO’ banana, which costs 2.250 EURO,as compensation for the long waiting time.

@alfredbokrand - Your double digit reports to the moderation team of defamation are somewhat silly after all this time, given the empirical evidence (as documented in this thread).

Communication, along with sincere honesty (and realistic timelines) goes a long way toward building relationships.

One reaps what they sow.

Please allow me to put it to you this way....

The WBF is not a platform to where just any member can, "arbitrarily air their grievances publicly". History has proven that over the years. That said, there are a select few grievances that are allowed to move along, and your services/products are one of them.

This thread proves why.

Pleased to report great results after a long wait.

I finally commissioned my 10” tonearm and Decca extender for a TD124 after damaging the azimuth thread. (I had to return the arm to Alfred, when he installed a vintage Ortofon collar at no cost. Note the fragility of this mechanism; use 1/2 to one turn of screw, no more).

The arm is beautifully turned out physically. Replacing supplied Neutrik type for solid silver RCA’s (ETI) I was quite shocked by the sound, opening out with more colour, life and dynamic force. Brings to mind the effect of switching from listening in stereo to mono.

Alfred’s design calculations are a winner with this Decca —actually, two, a Mono head and also a MKI head w/ Paratrace—, of his solid silver cored Decca extender (no solder joints), vintage wires, brass bearing housing and base, lead loaded weights to reduce centre of gravity, plus the ETI solid silver RCA’s.

Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce my problem to You all. I ordered two Bokrand 12" banana tonearms for me and @flazar a little more than 2 years ago from @alfredbokrand through ebay. Order was made on 20.01.2023., so a little more than 2 years now... Both tonearms are paid in full when ordered and after that, a lot of messages and a long silent period of probably a year. For a while, I given up the hope, the amount paid is not small.
After some time, I was asked by Alfred if I would like my money back or a tonearm in a few weeks, we decided to go with the tonearms, but since than, probably a year has passed and still no tonearms, so my question to You @alfredbokrand is can I expect to get my tonearms any time soon or at all. I ran out of options and am forced to write here since my messages are left unanswered elsewhere...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I forgot about you. I never wrote down who ordered what and when because I always delivered immediately. Then I got ill and couldn't make any more tonearms for a long time.
After that I only knew that about 20 customers still had to get a tonearm.all but a few got their tonearm.almost all of them got the new SONORO 12" tonearm from me, which costs 2,250 euros, although they had only paid 700 - 900.
I did this as compensation for the long wait.
See here post on this forum.

Write to my email and you will get your tonearms.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
Instead of the sentence above, “I’m sorry for the troubles I caused” would have been a much better and more honest response, in my opinion. I find it strange and dishonest for someone to say “I’m sorry to hear that” about a problem he caused, especially when it was a one-person job and involved multiple email exchanges with the customer.

How naive you are.

In my opinion, we will continue to see posts from dissatisfied customers still waiting for their tonearms, years past due.

naive, not at all, but if he is finally coming thru and so far many say he has and if he upgraded them for free for there hassle than its a good thing.
