Indeed it is, in my opinion of course, but based upon having used a GM4 for most of this year. The GM4 has just been reviewed in The Ear https://the-ear.net/review-hardware/groovemaster-4-top-banana/From what I have heard and read thus far Leif … it would seem that the GM IV might prove itself to be a sound per pound *killer* of a modern manufacture tonearm :0}
Yeah, me too. waiting 14 months now for a 12 inch Alfred Bokrand tonearm. I wonder how many of us still waiting...It is good to hear and also kind of unbelievable that some people actually got their tonearms delivered after more than a year of waiting. I have been promised a delivery "next week" 4 times now in the past 14 months and I don't believe it is going to happen. So many excuses each time, non response, I am so fed up with this.
he paid about 1000 EURO for the tonearm,i have now sent him the latest 12” Ortofon tonearm ‘SONORO’ banana,which costs 2.250 EURO,as compensation for the long waiting time.I am very happy to report that Alfred has delivered the tone arm to me.
It arrived safe and sound this morning.
Fit and finish are good, but I haven't mounted it yet. I will as soon as possible.
It looks and feels lovely.
A happy ending for me.
Thank you Alfred.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I forgot about you. I never wrote down who ordered what and when because I always delivered immediately. Then I got ill and couldn't make any more tonearms for a long time.Hello everyone,
I would like to introduce my problem to You all. I ordered two Bokrand 12" banana tonearms for me and @flazar a little more than 2 years ago from @alfredbokrand through ebay. Order was made on 20.01.2023., so a little more than 2 years now... Both tonearms are paid in full when ordered and after that, a lot of messages and a long silent period of probably a year. For a while, I given up the hope, the amount paid is not small.
After some time, I was asked by Alfred if I would like my money back or a tonearm in a few weeks, we decided to go with the tonearms, but since than, probably a year has passed and still no tonearms, so my question to You @alfredbokrand is can I expect to get my tonearms any time soon or at all. I ran out of options and am forced to write here since my messages are left unanswered elsewhere...
Instead of the sentence above, “I’m sorry for the troubles I caused” would have been a much better and more honest response, in my opinion. I find it strange and dishonest for someone to say “I’m sorry to hear that” about a problem he caused, especially when it was a one-person job and involved multiple email exchanges with the customer.Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
oh please, he is giving them upgraded arms for there inconvenience, at least he's coming thru for them and not screwing them over. would I do business with him, nope, but than again I wouldn't pay in full for a product with a dude with know issues, etcInstead of the sentence above, “I’m sorry for the troubles I caused” would have been a much better and more honest response, in my opinion. How naive you are.oh please, he is giving them upgraded arms for there inconvenience, at least he's coming thru for them and not screwing them over.
naive, not at all, but if he is finally coming thru and so far many say he has and if he upgraded them for free for there hassle than its a good thing.How naive you are.
In my opinion, we will continue to see posts from dissatisfied customers still waiting for their tonearms, years past due.
