PG's first 4 albums (1 thru 4 or Car, Scratch, Melt, Security) are being reissued on 180g/45RPM from Real World Records. Although these are not AAA reissues (as far as I know), I'm still tempted to pick them up. I have all of them on domestic Canadian pressings when they first came out, and have the Classic Records reissue of Melt, but that's it. Trying to buy copies of the other Classic reissues is not something I'm interested in, although they perhaps are the definitely versions (notwithstanding original UK pressings).

I think the pricepoint on these reissues is very reasonable and digital vinyl has come a long way, so I'm more than willing to consider buying them.

I am Peter Gabriel fan. Have most of his albums on vinyl. If you pick up the 45 reissues, please let me know your thoughts about them. Thanks!

If I do decide to pick them up I will for sure post my impressions. I have some other Real World pressings from PG and they are very nice, so I'm hopeful.

More than happy with my all analog Classic/real world reissues from 2002. They sound fantastic.

Digital 45rpm's of these albums - Meh

If I had all of the Classics I wouldn't consider it either, but I don't. I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude for now and hopefully get some feedback on how they sound.

preorderd the whole lot... i will let you know
