Piano videos

@ Bonzo the system you once heard isnt the same as i have now.
Pre amp now CAT legend was Ultimate mk2
Power amp was CAT JL2 sign mk2 now JL5 BP
New speakers / New apartment different acoustics , no more glass windows without curtains .
Telefunken M15 A has been professionally restored /Checked ,Eternal Arts Tape stage has been added .
The Keith Jarret Dubbel reel album in didnt have at the time

Well at least you now admit I was right about that system then, and it was not what you claimed it to be.

@ SET cant provide the Dynamics CAT can
I already have made up my mind about CAT, it is another boring variation of these big push pull amps caught in no man's land between SS amps and low watt valve amps. Maybe you sometimes post as Caesar, he likes CAT too and it is not clear who Caesar really is.

Some are really good. A couple have a little bit of hollowness to them. On the whole though these videos play a heck of a lot better than I can get out of my system.

Off course not , thats not what i said , i simply had a acoustics that made it hard to listen through as a newcomer .
There is no right or wrong , i simply value other things in sound reproduction then you do .
For you its a competition , you rank everything , i dont .
i enjoyed my XPE / Previous CAT pre power just as much
I still favour my big XPE design way more over the small speakers, despite not having the latest updates.
Besides its simply a YT vid / limitation, it doesnt let you hear the power / scale of a big speaker sound

Probably more audio shops ought to advertise their products through YouTube vids. This format would be a great marketing strategy that might boost sales by way of a video introduction and/or series of vids for consumers to consider before heading out to the shop.

I've got a bunch of classical piano LP's, CD/SACD's, and analog tape. Unfortunately, back when "political correctness" became a thing I was banned from YouTube for violating "safe spaces" so I can't post any more vids... lol

I sent bonzo75 a Whatsapp vid once of my analog setup a few months ago but that format isn't a format that WBF uses so...

Happy Listening :)

self-recorded Audio System videos only, please.

Thank you for posting this Tim. I subscribe to Tang so it showed up in my YouTube notices. This video sounds great. Very immediate and full of energy with good tone and dynamics.

There was all the speculation that Tang had given up the hobby or something. Clearly not. I had suggested to him that he close the wood blinds behind the speakers on the right to cover the glass. Judging from the video, all of the Lamm amps are on, and the subwoofer integration sounds fantastic.

I miss his participation in this forum.

Actually, that started with you saying his videos were the best and it was pointed out to you he was not playing his system and it led to that. If you hadn’t dishonestly said his videos were the best when he wasn’t playing his system for 18 months, that wouldn’t have happened.

IMHO Cessaro setup sounds better than Sigma setup. It sounds more precise with better tonality.

On the other hand Sigma sounds very reverberant, as if there is cacophony. Maybe it’s because of the drivers on the back.

Both sounded good, just different. At that time with the Cessaro I had done a blind test of 4 videos including this, Vyger Red sparrow vs Techdas AF3p with vdh stradivarius. Over 15 people preferred 3 out of 4 with the Vyger. I also like the hORNs Universum video on this and it is a much lower priced set up.

Good recordings. Hard to tell if a Steinway grand or a Bossendorpher concert grand piano is being played on the first track but the other 2 are definitely Steinway grands..

Not sure what you mean but the Cessaro and the ones in the replies post (Brinkmann, Avalon) are the same - it is the Liszt concerto by Annie Fischer. On the Avalon the track is broken into two clips to make it shorter, and the Cessaro just links it together in one
