I couldn't wait – – I opened one of the coffins . . .

Distressing that there is no foam or cushioning inside, no?:(

Why should we want foam or cushioning inside? The Sonus Faber Aida's and Soundlab's were also packed this way - just firmly held at the top and bottom - and the wood panels of this box look really solid.

It's properly floated. It's not likely to strike the ides of the container.

Your attention to detail is inspiring. Exciting to see your "project" coming together after all this time. I should start a new cartoon section based on your trials over the years . . . NOT. Anxious to hear what the first album you spin when it's fully completed; sometime in the next few years ;-) Congrats.

Thank you very much, Jim! I appreciate it!

I still love the cartoon you drew of me fishing on top of a Pendragon!

And your Christmas present from a few years ago is prominently displayed!

Man, this guy's shirt (and facial expression) on the left says it all...

That is Chad Ellingwood. He is as strong as an ox.

Chad has, unexpectedly, a very soft and sweet demeanor.

He actually has a lot of experience disassembling, moving and reassembling mixing consoles and entire recording studios.

It’s like a beauty mark on a gorgeous model. It’s an accent highlighting the other beautiful things in the room i.e. Ron’s system.

The Murano chandelier? Probably it is an excellent ceiling diffusor!

No speakers were harmed in making of these photos. However, a few Tongans wound up with a couple of days in traction. Audiophilia has been righteously served.

Don came over tonight to listen to tape and to play some of his jazz records. We both continue to be amazed by the sound quality of an old $3,000 MSRP speaker system, and a $3,250 vinyl playback system (including phono stage). Of course $100,000 of VTL electronics in the middle must have a lot to do with it.
