Anything is Mars always intrigues me. I was disappointed with the Mars Rover's stint was cut short. What would earth's reaction be if the lens of the rover showed something 'alive'?

I had similar thoughts, but it was more in the vane of, near the monolith is a marked up screenplay of Arthur's and/or a missing reel of Stanley's dailies.

I find the pixel explanation strange. If they were at the resolution limits, why are the smaller stuff around it still round?
