And here's mine. Nothing OCD about this thread (or us) at all....BUT, it does make a large difference depending how one does it. I'll refrain from saying improvement as it is preference specific, but a difference, no doubt.

Ok I have to ask. The plexiglass? cylinder with the orange ball, what is it? A bass trap...

The orange ball is a Himalayan illuminated salt ball - it improves the sound stage by an order of 10x at least. With it removed, otherwise perfectly excellent rigs become entirely unlistenable... ;) It's purely aesthetic (and provides a bit of ambient glow in the night).

The Acrylic tube is an Acustica Applicata "Volcano". This does make a considerable difference and is tuneable. You can find technical information on it here:

Kind regards,

Ha ha and it does look cool! The " Volcano" is interesting, can't say I have come across anything looking like this before.

Kind regards,
What is the price of the Volcano?

Nice to see they have quality test gear and software.. goes some way to legitimize the claims.. which are always appear quite grand when its a relatively small piece of kit from an acoustics perspective
One of the great things about this forum is finding gear you would never know of otherwise
Thanks

I used to have cables just dangling everywhere behind my setup, pulling on the connections and getting all tangled up. Finally threw in an Under Desk Cable Tray and it made a big difference. Keeps everything more tucked in, so it’s not hanging all over the place. I also used some rubber bands and O-rings to give the cables extra support and stop them from yanking on the plugs. Not super fancy, but it did the job and made things way less chaotic back there.
