Has anyone tried a Soulution 720 or 721 preamp with the 711 stereo amp? Does the Link feature (which turns on the amp automatically when the pre is turned on) work for you?

I recently bought a 721, but get a "Link error" when I connect the Link to the 711 (I've tried several different Ethernet cables). They play fine together without the Link connection. I'm wondering if the 720 series Link is incompatible with the 711/701.

There is a method described in the manual. IF not followed.. there will be an error.
721 manual - search for ‘link’ push this eh.. link

There Are 16 segments to read… about link.
Read all of them. Maybe you find what is wrong.

Now read the entire manual first… then read the following Words:

all ac cords must be disconnected (and refer to manual how long you should wait before reconnecting again..)and all components put in OFF mode before you do that. Remember ac Switch Flicked to 0 … before removing ac cord.

And make sure it set to 0 before reconnecting…
Connect link and then reconnect and that should be it. Power on Pre and it should work.
However. Check menues also. Refer to manual for correct settings.
IF all is set and still no link. E-mail to company and Ask for assistance.

Hint: 711: ‘link-in… and 721 : link out. Or.. Master 1 port
The ends go in those ports.. I know , you would think it was opposite. But no…
