Swiss Digital Fuse Box Anyone?

Well it works for you and that’s all that matters, it did not for me.
You have tried the Furutech NCF receptacles and did not like them? That would really surprise me. They are the only rhodium plated pieces in my system, all my power cable, interconnects and speaker cables use gold plating.
As well, I’m sure Steve (at Audio Sensibility) would be happy to make the adapters with gold plated Furutech instead of rhodium connectors on request.

Looks to me like Steve uses copper and sometimes silver in his own builds, including adapters, but I'll check.

As for Furutech outlets, several years ago I chose the GTX-D (G) over the (R), the gold over the rhodium version, which I didn't like.

Re rhodium, a cable maker (not Steve) happened to write me today: "The problem with rhodium is that it is a very hard metal with high resistivity, and thus low conductivity. In high-resolution setups, rhodium’s higher resistance would introduce subtle differences in tonal balance (more analytical, less warm)."

If one is using rhodium and has a warm overall sound, I would think that means something(s) else in the system is overcoming its effects. To each their own...

I don’t need the adapters. Have a good evening.

I did not care for the GTX-D (R) either and replaced my wall outlets from my dedicated lines with the Cardas 4181 that are very good and I still use. When I got my Statement SE power distribution box from Audio Sensibility, I had the first duplex outlet upgraded to the GTX-D NCF. The other 2 duplex outlets are GTX-D (G). I tried my amp and preamp and streamer with the two different outlets and was amazed how much better the NCF outlets were. No comparison. I ended up ordering another box with only the NCF outlets for my system, the other one I use for my subs and Acoustats. Maybe it has nothing to do with the rhodium plating and more to do with the NCF magic dust they use, but they only make the NCF outlets in rhodium for some reason. These outlets don’t sound warm and they don’t sound cold, they sound like music. Compare them to your GTX-D (G) outlets, you will be very surprised. Cheers!

I edited my post above about rhodium, but to move one piece of it down here: The only NCF line piece I’ve tried is the Clear LIne Optimizer and found it worthless, having no effect on the sound, an opinion that's hardly unique to me. NCF aside, changing my outlet is not a priority.

I have over 60 hours now on my SDFB and extreme piggy tail, and the sound has really taken a change for the better. The soundstage is wide and deep and floats in front of you totally free of the speakers. Details leap out from a totally black background. No more issues with tone. These devices definitely need a good break in, don’t judge the sound until at least 50 hours. I think most of the change is from the piggy break in, even though Mark says the Graphene Sluggo takes 400 hours to break in. Glad to hear they are working on adapters. I am holding of on the expensive adapter from Audio Sensibility since what I have now is sounding so good, but I did splurge on the $20 adapter from Amazon recommended by Mr. Miyagi (in the other SDFB thread) and now have it here. Will compare it to the extreme piggy this weekend.

Should wait until you have the 400 hours in for the slug to fully season.

I received the Audio Sensibility adapter set today and got it started in the run from Wyred conditioner to PSA P15 Regenerator, i.e., running almost my entire system. Can't tell anything yet. After listening a bit, I replaced an Ext. Piggy with a WyWires Platinum on the way to an LPS (via an SDFB). It's Spdif run from Oppo to Lampi GG that uses an iFi spdif isolator. That LPS seems to be at a vital sonic point in my system, which made a leap just sticking in the SDFB and graphene sluggo (in place of a QSA red-black, which had improved a lot over an SR Purple). The burned in WW made an obvious improvement. So yes, the better the cable (or adapter), the better the SDFB's effects.

Since my purchase, the AS site now shows the adapters, and that they are copper wired but have rhodium connectors. Steve says gold plated connectors are in the works.

I figured that this would be the case. Thanks for chiming in.

I agree, the better the adapter or feeder cable the better the sound. The $20.00 adapters from Amazon are better than the Pig Tail.

If you mean the basic piggy, which I don't think much of, I'd probably agree if I had shown more patience than 150 hours with the Amazon version. I'd be surprised with the Extreme Piggy. Maybe I should try again? Would you post the link to the ones you got? Mine were singles and $10 or so for two.

I've used a number of adapters over the years for various purposes and that I get a decent sense of potential in well less than full burn in time. The Amazon ones had remained muddled all the way, so I stopped. The AS ones I got today are muddled in the lower midrange, but seem decent for starters elsewhere, so promise...

Got my system sounding great. But I have had my SDFB n my systems for over a year.

Yes I agree. Rhodium (and gold and silver and copper) all have a distinct sound. Depends on your system and what sound you like.
Furutech has been in business for a long time and has a massive catalog of high quality power products. They know what they are doing. They offer copper, gold, silver and rhodium plated terminations. But their top line NCF products (big bucks!) are all rhodium plated. I use their top line NCF AC receptacles in my distribution boxes and they are the best I have ever heard.
Rhodium plated terminations are not the horror people on this thread are making them out to be.
Thank you. That was exactly my logic when ordered some products. And the proof is in the pudding... These Furutech products sound just great.

In your opinion. Every Furutech product I have tried has end up returned or binned. Cables, Tweaks and Power Conditioners. Would love to know what your system consists of.
