two switches also involve a high quality network cable (I recommend an Ansuz DIGITALZ LAN D2) and two high quality power cables, the switches are sensitive to this last aspect.
some time has passed, I left one of the three switches and I have to notice a loss, even if slight, where the small infinitesimal environmental information helps the reconstruction of the performance space, also a less evident separation between the execution and the space surrounding environment as well as the interactions between performers and their instruments. we are talking about small details, nuances but which overall bring greater naturalness and ease of feeling the complexity of the recorded event. in the future there is the desire to try a good server like a taiko or similar, I would like to understand how such an extreme optimization of the digital path can help or be superfluous for the final reproduction!
i’ve been following this thread with great interest. Over the past few months I’ve been going through a major system upgrade. I have been buying Ansuz products to pair with my recent purchase of a Aavik C-380 pre and Aavik P-300 amp. My goal is to end up with a full loom of Ansuz. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I can recall an anecdote in this regard. concluding the Ansuz full loom for network cables there was a significant step forward in sound quality, compared to having one or two cables mixed with other brands. there is more organicity and greater harmony towards a full and credible sound!
