Brad, my dad (who is still one of the wiser people I know even though ultimately the gene proved recessive ) always told us that there are three arguments you should avoid getting dragged into... religion, politics and sport (even though he still loves going to the latter).Which religion do you think Tao is trying to espouse exactly? Maybe if you lacerate your dad with enough ad hominems, he will deliver a decisive opinion.Brad, my dad (who is still one of the wiser people I know even though ultimately the gene proved recessive ) always told us that there are three arguments you should avoid getting dragged into... religion, politics and sport (even though he still loves going to the latter).
Fortunately he holds no real strong views on discussion on either the nature of a listening window or what constitutes a natural sounding sound system so the field is still relatively wide open for me there
I try to not lacerate anyone especially the ones I love ... and to also live by the wise advice of a good friend’s grandmother who regularly warned... touch it and it will smellMaybe if you lacerate your dad with enough ad hominems, he will deliver a decisive opinion.
That is awesome... love it. That dialogue essentially has tone and our ideas (and how they are then sounded) can be richly connective, resonant and harmonious like some wonderous concerto... or that it can all instead just be a unhelpful and hurtful valueless noise. So even if the concepts aren’t all our own we can then still contribute to the outcome if we perform them in our dialogue well. Beautiful idea and very nicely said... or playedOne of the wisest things an elder ever told me is that “the tone makes the music“.
That is sometimes hard to get across on social media as she told me that when I was a kid and there was no such thing. She was referring to spoken dialogue but I still try to keep that in mind when I write on forums such as this.
Too late, you are being cancelled for your heretical beliefs about the listening window! Now, toe the high end line or be branded a naturalist for life...Brad, my dad (who is still one of the wiser people I know even though ultimately the gene proved recessive ) always told us that there are three arguments you should avoid getting dragged into... religion, politics and sport (even though he still loves going to the latter).

Neil Peart, was there someone else?? Ok, ok maybe Bill Bruford...Religion, politics and sport are the most interesting things to argue about. Oh, and who the greatest rock drummers in history are.
Lol Peter, come clean you just learned about tone from the WBF a few weeks ago! . Now mind your tone in your response to my little jest...One of the wisest things an elder ever told me is that “the tone makes the music“. She was not talking about Audio.

I BELIEVE IN THIS TONE ALL THE TIME!! DO YOU THINK IT IS PERSUASIVE??That is awesome... love it. Of course, wide open listening window also means nice easy route to jump off the 15th storey. Zu ownership was more second floor jump and just a sprained ankle.
Much beautifuller!oh, sorry...... is this a better tone of type? now do you believe what I say??
Does this happen often with visitors to your system? I have heard of running screaming from a room but not jumping because death is preferrable...
