The Tres Amigos Ride Again-Telluride Blues and Brews Festival And Conquering The Mountain

Marty is standing behind Russ and I

Russ is on the left and I am on the right

4 14er's in one day is simply staggering. Oh to be young again Don

My daughter IIRC has done 10 of the 14ers

Thanks! So you're the bloody one; is there a doctor in the group? :)

He's done 28 so far (over quite a few years but has really stepped up the past few) and is planning to hit another couple next weekend to make it 30 before the season closes. All depends on the weather. His mom and I sit at home being nervous and waiting for the summit pix. Just a month or so ago they had to turn back from a peak due to blizzard conditions up high.

Both of us are bloody

Russ on the left has a large abrasion on his left cheek and me on the right cut up my right forearm

simply an amazing feet and 4 in one day is quite an accomplishment

My daughter always sends me photos from each summit

Looks like fun! My younger son was in Telluride briefly a week or two ago. He and some friends got dropped off the train in the wilderness south of Silverton, camped a few nights, did four 14er's in one day (!!!), then hiked back to the train for the trip out. They went through Telluride but ended up staying outside Ouray instead before heading home. Kind of stuff I always thought I'd do when we moved out but work and life interceded. Having just turned 60 last week Steve gives me hope that someday...

One question: can you put names to the faces in the opening picture of Marty's thread?
The only way I'm ever going to do 4 14er's in 1 day, is with a helicopter.

Steve and Russ, always a pleasure. Steve, your photography is better than the stuff in the Telluride magazines they put in your room. Great work!

I have another 20 from the Blues festival but they were just too big to put up plus I have a 2 minute video bite of Anders Osborne jamming with his band as well as one of George Clinton whose voice reminded me of Barry White

Exactly what I told him! I was planning to do one or two (not those, easier ones) this summer, but work has been hell and too many other things going on to get in shape.

Thanks for the mug shot!

Those pictures must be very high pixel density (ultra high resolution) because I've never waited so long @ WBF for pictures to appear. ...Couple minutes, then the same for next page.
I wish I have faster download speed, that's the advantage in a situation like this.

Hi Bob

Indeed there was something going on with the site and its taken the past 3 days to find out what's causing the slow down.

Try it now and tell me if the picture load better now. We have made some changes internally and so also has our ISP externally
