Beautiful. Lots of of heavy irons. DHT 801A/10Y make for supurb sounding preamplifiers.

I am liking the ‘Old school’ no frills necessary look of these electronics... The mono blocks in post No2 remind me of my pair of PYE HF25’s circa 1958...

Congrats on what I am sure is an amazing preamp. Gunther most certainly knows what he is doing! Superb products.

I can firmly recommend the Tobian 12 FH speakers, crazy good!

You are absolutely spot on in this assessment, JP. I am presently burning in my demo pair of 12FH's and with only a week logged on them, it's mind blowing what they're bringing to the table. I'm expecting to take delivery of a Tobian VR-40 300B integrated next week, but in the meantime with a lowly LampizatOr AmberAmp, the sound I'm already getting from the 12FH represents true high end.

How long did it take your pair to fully settle in?

Might buy a pair of VT-62 for the Lampi as I can run at 7.5V 1.2A no problem. Plus they aren't expensive

Just checked - seller “Ouir” is known and very reliable here in CH. Unit he’s selling is quite old I would say, so i have no idea which tubes are inside and does not say in the add as well. Sorry I could not help more.

Tobian pricing might be the best kept secret in audio....please forgive the impertinent, vulgar request but might you be willing to give a hint on the 12 FH's price?
I can find nothing on t'internet

I traded my pair of Verity Amadis S against the 12 FH and that`s it. No money added on my part.

I have downsized substantially and have no longer the Tobian speakers or very expensive electronics. Very happy with more affordable gear and feel that I do not miss expensive high end devices at all. This after app 40 years as an "audiophile".
