not my style. i listen a lot and appreciate what it takes to absolutely optimize one set-up. the room is not designed to work for two compromised speaker set ups. just one all-the-way right one. two radically different speaker systems need two sets of high level amps/preamps, cable switching. basically a mess.
part of peace of mind for idea listening comes from eliminating doubts about your whole system. that all is right and done. that's important to me. and that's where i am.
i respect that others have different system building and room perspectives and don't insist as much for everything to be ideal. some have homes with multiple systems, more than 2, around their homes. no good or bad to it, that might be exciting too. i would say that there is no way to pour what i have poured into one set-up, into multiple set-ups. some others roll different sets of speakers into and out of a single system. not even physically possible in my case with the size and weight of my twin towers.
