Tripoint troy signature grounding device

Hi Barry,
There is a thread on here from Bill about the Isis and I could not agree with him more about everything he wrote. It's just a wonderful piece of equipment that gives you all you would need in a integrated amp.

Do these improve video gear too? Is it a small improvement or big?

I do not know that the Tripoint Troy Signature improves video. but if I had to guess I would say it likely would improve it. it seems like what it does is to improve the performance of power supplies and lower noise. those things have to have some positive effect on video. how much improvement would be a question.

Since I cannot afford a Tripoint Troy, I once built a prototype AC Filter box. I plugged all the audiophile equipment into it, the iMac and the amplifier mostly.

Now, it so happens I also use the DisplayPort of the iMac to go into the HDMI port of our TV for casual, large-display visualisation of the iMac.

I hadn't planned this, nor expected it, but the image of the TV, especially for fonts, became clearer and more readable, even though the TV itself wasn't plugged in my AC Filter box...

Sawasdee Mike,

I am using regular ground wires came with the Troy. Have you experienced the Thor or any other ground wire thats better than the ones came with it. Is there significant difference.

for my Tripoint Troy Signature, I do have 1 Thor Master Reference ground wire that I connect to my preamp. then 4 other standard Tripoint ground wires I use for (1) dac, (2) SGM server, (3) power supply of my tt, (4) the stainless steel arm board for my tone arm.

the Thor is a big jump over the others in performance. but it is $6k USD retail.

who you want to ask about this is member 'Audiocrack'. he has multiple Tripoint boxes (including the un-obtainium Emperor) plus multiple Thor and higher ground cables. I'm small time compared to him.

The Thor grounding cables are much, much better than the regular ground cables that are supplied with the Tripoint Troy! They are better in all important music parameters.

Although not inexpensive once inserted in your system you will be amazed how much better your audio system is performing. I am using six of them and still very happy with their performance.

The ultimate grounding cable is the Tripoint emperor grounding wire. Have not used it myself sofar due to the high costs involved and the fact that Miguel is swamped with work and manufacturing the Emperor grounding cable is extremely labour intensive. This Emperor grounding cable is huge and very heavy indeed (it resembles a 'boa constrictor'). According to some Asian 'insiders' the emperor is the best grounding cable available at the moment.

You need a very solid grounding binding post to use this state of the art emperor cable in a effective way. Hopefully some day I will be able to do so.

But coming back to your question: may I recommend to try one Tripoint Thor grounding cable? I am sure you will not regret this step.

Thank you very much Mike for your feedback. Big Jump that is. I will do the big jump. :D

I received the Empress a few weeks ago. This past two months quite a few gear tunings and room tunings are going on with me. So I havent tried them with my speakers yet. I need to know exactly what does what to the sound of my system. One thing at the time. I will keep you inform of my finding.

Shall you find any new Big Jump, pls let me know. You jump, I jump...haha

Good afternoon Mr. Audiocrack (what a name! Love it.),

Thank you very much for your recommendation, sir.

I currently have two Troy's. One for my amp, the other for my fronts. These Troys lift my system up up and away from just excellent high end. I think these days many gears manufacturers know and realize how their customer can get even better sound from their gears if they provide grounding post. Mr. Gerhard of Ayon, put a heavy weight grounding post for my amp, pre and phono. So, should be ready for the Thor's.

If you happen to have the Empress, could you pls recommend me how to connect them to speakers with bi-wire terminals.

Thanks again, sir.

You are most welcome, Tango.

Congratulations on your two Troys. In my view the Tripoint 'grounding boxes' are marvellous components attributing in a significant way to sound quality of my audio systems.

If you like what your Troys are doing with the 'regular' grounding cables, you will be amazed and very pleased if you start using the Thor grounding cables.

Good to hear that more and more audio manufacturors are willing to add dedicated grounding binding posts to their equipment.

I am very happy with the performance of my Tripoint components. And that is the reason why I started this WBF thread in the first place.

Yes, I do have the Empress speaker filters available but I have barely used them so far because I need to sort out a few issues before I am able to fully understand what these devices bring to the (audio) table. So I am sorry but I cannot help you as regards employing the Tripoint Empress.

Audioexotics in HK carries both Tripoint and Dalby Audio of UK.
Dalby makes several exotic ground cables. As big/thick as hoses.
I listened to them replacing the original ground wires of Troy Signature and the sonic improvement was huge and in every aspects. I like them more than the Tripoint usd5.4k one.

Thanks. To which Dalby grounding cables are you referring, if I may ask? And am I wrongly informed that at AE the Tripoint emperor is considered (by far) the best grounding cable available at the monent?

Typo.
I auditioned the 3 Dalby ground cables in 2016.

There were 3 models of Dalby ground cables at that time and IMHO even the lowest priced one was better than the Thor.

Can you maybe remember the retail prices of these Dalby grounding cables?

And Tripoint emperor grounding cable still reigns supreme, also in HK, as far as I know.

Most Troy Signature owners in HK if having 2 or more of them, will use one for digital and one for analog components.
Of course diff systems will behave differently.

I vaguely remember that the Dalby ground cables started from around USD7k.

May I know much is the Emperor ground cable?

Actually I do not know the exact retail price of the emperor ground but I can find out very quickly (according to Miguel the emperor ground is his masterpiece cable; producing it is very difficult and time consuming so it will be expensive). Availability is very limited, likely the main reason why Chris of AE is pretty silent on them.
