Vitus SIA-030

I had a good listen to this at Munich and is fantastic - was one of my companion's favourite rooms.

Usual Vitus attributes of lovely class-A creaminess, rich tonality, stunning vocals. It's a great partner to the Rockports too. If I were to criticise, it's also the usual Vitus attribute of smoothing over some of the ultra-fine detail.

Obviously no idea how it would compare to SIA-025 without back-to-back.
I own a Vitus SIA-025 Mkll, and the Ultra Fine detail is excellent. Yes, when in class A mode.
I’m sure the SIA-030 ultra Fine detail is great too, and probably better than SIA-025 Mkll. Why, because SIA-030 preamp section is better, amongst other things.
Does anyone know the USA retail price yet? I like to order one soon, but I need price first. I’m not preordering without price. Siltech

Thanks Bodhi
Striking as the orange finish is I am sure that the black or silver finishes would look better in most systems and hold their value better.

Germany show is over, and on I’m still waiting on pricing from USA dealers. What is this. I’m not sure if it’s Vitus, USA Distributor, or USA Dealers.

I guess if I don’t hear info, I’ll move on. NOT HAPPY. RON

Siltech Vitus are already shipping the amps, so local pricing should be established by now. Have you picked up the phone and called your local Vitus Dealer to ask for a price? That's the first thing i'd do if I were seriously interested in buying an amp...and they're the ones who can cut you a break on the msrp at the end of day. I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet..

There’s two dealers in USA that I no of. I was ask by one dealer to deal with The Voice That Is dealer. So far I get emails saying they’ll get back to me.

No Prices At All.

Maybe I’ll call Vitus direct, or try and buy from another Country. This is RIDICULOUS ...

I WISH THERE WAS A DEALER IN CANADA

THIS IS A JOKE. RON T

I just heard from USA Vitus dealer. As of now Vitus is setting up a new Distributor in the States. Until that happens, the dealers don’t no the actual price and there cost.
I heard months ago about a new Distributor coming to the USA. It still hasn’t happened. I hope this wait isn’t long.

Siltech I can understand how keen you are to snap up one of these amps. By all reports it is outstanding. A change of Distributor is beyond the control of the Dealers, so you'll just have to be patient..

Yeah,
as BB King said “ The Thrill Is Gone “

Each to their own. I can think of a collectible sports car which takes 5 years to build (if you're lucky). And the manufacturer has a long waiting list because their clients know the car's value and desirability.

Vitus Audio recently announced that High End by Oz will be their North American Distributor, so you can now get in contact with them for local pricing :).

One of the best sounding You Tube videos I have heard - Vitus & Rockport - excellent match.

Here is a write up by Ted Chen, Senior Editor of MY-HIEND covering the official debut of the SIA-030 in Taiwan held at a local Vitus Dealer's showroom in Taipei. The article is in Chinese, but can be automatically translated in Chrome.

Here is the semi-technical white paper introducing the SIA-030, which also shows some of the sophisticated (and expensive!) machinery used to manufacture this amplifier. And here is the brochure fyi.

Some exciting news! My Dealer is expecting delivery of an SIA-030 some time next week, and i've been invited to to come in and get some 1st impressions of the amp 'out of the box'. I'll also be doing a mini-review for WBF once the amp reaches 200+hrs, so stay tuned!
