What are the pros & cons of high-efficiency horns?

You can't hear the distortion under 100hz unless it's probably something like in excess of 50%. There's no reason to be concerned. It would be no surprise if you've mostly listened to stereos with around 20% in the range.

Tapped horns are neat because they are much more efficient. The drivers don't have to move as much. So you gain a little distortion and gain some better phase. The biggest problem with them is their size, but because they can be shrunk to a width of 10" they're pretty handy. (it's like 10 x 40 x 40 or something abouts, almost impossible to make any smaller)
