There are one single-layer sacd and one cd in the box.
The production was meticulous, employing the original analog master tapes, a refurbished Studor A80 tape deck used by Decca then and Merging Technologies mastering stations.

Not that it has anything to do with this album in particular, but I'm amazed at what these Klipsch RP-8000F's do for piano. Very convincing with proper body and dynamics.

Listened to this two days ago on Primephonic. It was terrific. I had no idea he was a composer as well. Thank you for sharing

Beautiful. A long while since i have heard these symphonies. Remarkable man - poet playwright polymath, geologist, astronomy, linguist and performed Beethoven's 3rd Piano at 10. Died in 1921 in Algiers, a loner.

Perfect for a cold and windy Hobart night with rain against the windows.
