I'm never less than thoroughly delighted listening to this piece. Perhaps my favorite of many favorites by this composer.

F. J. Haydn: Sonata for Keyboard no 37 in E major, H 16 no. 22

Brautigam Bach on fortepiano is great as well...will definitely check out his Haydn. Thanks for that!

Actually, just realized i had this which appears to be the full haydn Brautigam collection...also BIS so presumably the same. This one is excellent.

A lovely guitar recording. He plays Britten's "Nocturnal" and several Dowland Fantasias. Extraordinary sound.

Going through that Brautigam Haydn set was revelatory listening for me!

A wonderful (and these days, expensive--$85 at Amazon US!) recording in all aspects.

Yes, i agree that it is a remarkably good set, and in fact i like his Bach keyboard work on fortepiano as well. Let me know if you hear that one as well...be curious to know what you think. Bernard Roberts on Bach's work on piano is one of my favorites...other than Gould on Bach Well Tempered and Goldberg Variations.

An absolutely wonderful recording. Too bad it took him so long to record Bach!

I have most of them, too. Thanks, though. He has a new CD of Bach's French Suites coming out on DG next month.
