What's Best? Soulution, CH Precision, Vitus, or Ayre?

Sorry but my experience is quite different and I find them pretty analytical sounding.
I'm curious what you heard in what system and how many times you've heard it.

I had both Vitus SIA-025 and Kondo Kassai 300b so It was possible to compare them.
both were very similar sounding and wonderful, natural and emotional.

The speakers were high efficiency 95db .
That is saying something! Interesting and good to know.

I have only heard CH at shows and while they have always sounded good I have always found that they lacked the musical communicative qualities of the Vitus amps.
I have the Vitus 030 SIA paired with YG Hailey Reference 2s which partner very well. The YGs sound is very neutral and reveal the characteristics of partnering equipment very accurately.
I suspect Arnie’s Rockport and CH mix is well balanced in a comparable way to how the YG/Vitus combination is well balanced.

I have a stereo CH M10, and I am considering a CH L10 or a Soulution 727 for it.

Has anyone compared the L10 with the 727?
If I were you I will Use CH L10

I understand that the L10 is most likely the best match. I am asking if anybody did a comparison.

I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, so it is difficult to make this comparison in my home. As far as I know, no dealer has a CH L10 here.

We're carrying both CH and Soulution, but there are probably very few if any dealer globally who's got both the CH L10 and Soulution 727 side by side for demonstration.

I believe these to be two different pathways, where I would strongly suggest to choose the brand that you prefer and stick to the pre- and power amps within the same family.

Dear Marcus,

Thank you!

I am quite happy with the CH M10. I have a Taiko Olympus XDMI and should receive a pair of Rockport Orion by June, to pair with my two Perlisten d215s.

Prior to the CH M10, I used to have a CH L1 with a pair or Krell 750mcx, and in my system the Totaldac Sublime drivers XLR sounded better than the CH L1, so I have been using Totaldac sublime drivers xlr as preamp.

I have been told that the CH L10 somehow improves the sound of the CH M10, what is your oppinion on their sonic contribution?

Cheers,

I can only attest to the CH L1 which I consider an significant upgrade compared to going direct from the C1.2 to the A1.5 or M1.1.

The L1 is not optimized for the M10 though which is very different scenario.

You've got something very special to look forward to with the Rockport Orion's :)

I’m very happy with the CH equipment I have in my system, especially after adding the X1 power supply. It does everything I want. If I were to imagine a magical “equalizer” that had knobs for things like detail, bass, soundstage, air, etc. I think they would all be set to where my current system performs. My speakers get a lot of credit for that too.

With all that said I’m sure there are lots of great products that may also make me happy but I have the most experience with CH and not looking to move away from it.

Ayre was very good prior to Charles passing, I haven’t heard any of their products released after.
