What's Spinning Tonight?

For a birthday two years ago, as a surprise, my wife hired a 3 piece jazz ensemble to play in our home. That, too, reminded me how really short the best audio is from the real deal. But 2 channel does a much better job with a small jazz group than a symphony --- but only a bit better.

Audio is making great strides. But we have a long way to go --- and it won't happen with 2 channels.

Agreed .. Was listening yesterday to small amateurs jazz Quartet, un-amplified ... Audio reproduction in our home has a loooooong way to go ...

This morning listening session before the games, to be:

shaded dog deep groove.

Tonight: Eric Johnson, Live in Austin Texas. Recorded in '88. Not a great sounding recording or particularly great music, BUT Eric has BIG fire power and one can hear that in this recording. Cliffs of Dover is a VERY good piece of guitar playing, IMO.
Also: EC Unplugged....Not sure why I like this recording less and less as time goes by. Tonight it seemed a little bright and unnatural...more so than I have noticed before. Lastly, Chesky CD Sara K "closer than they appear"...great stuff.
