What's Spinning Tonight?

I see a pattern recently, Robert.

Yes Ron, you are very observant. :b

- I like Hans Zimmer's music compositions a lot. ...And by penetrating his creations (listening intensively), I can get familiar with his state-of-mind for greater and deeper appreciation. He's definitely one of my top motion picture music score composers.

* Only my family, my in-real-life close friends call me Robert.

* The Rudy Van Gelder Edition. ...CD (different album cover than the one above).
- Recorded in 1949/1950 in New York city.

Solti/Venice, 45 rpm unreleased test pressing from Classic records. This record probably has the biggest dynamic swings I have heard from any RCA Living Stereo reissue. I heard some negative feedback regarding the 33 production pressing. The 45 is brilliant if you can find a copy !

Almost like being in Jazz -Hugh Masskela
The Jazz Composers Songbook -John Heard & Co.
Both of these were on the StaightAhead label. Dualdisc played the 2ch DVDA side VG sonics IMHO. No complaints on performance either.

Marianne Faithfull
Strange Weather
ORG 066 (Vinyl reissue)
180 gram / 45 RPM / 2 discs / numbered limited edition
From Audiophile Audition (July 2011):
4-1/2 Stars
"ORG’s masterful 45 rpm vinyl continue to make the case that high end analog audio technology is comparable or superior to its digital counterpart. The organic coloration of the instrumentation is showcased by this format. Subtle touches with a clarinet, flute or horn are soft and remain in the background. The unique throaty vocals have a natural resonance. Strange Weather captures an underappreciated singer at her best." MORE >

Out of this Mood - Lyambiko
Excellent disc, highly recommended.
Trio is excellent, sound is top shelf

First Take, Chapter Two, Quiet Fire
Roberta Flack's first 3 all excellent IMHO
