A very emotionally raw and breathy confessional. Jill Scott’s Beautifully Human does these well also.

Where did you manage to find this?

"Czas jak rzeka" remaster on disc above is considerably more musical than streaming version from "Czy mnie jeszcze pami?tasz?" where it appeared originally. Never considered the Polish ? English albums until yesterday. His film music actually looked more interesting to me if taking a chance on unknown pressing quality LP at international shipping rates.

Ha, guess so. I held more affinity towards the Polish songs I couldn't understand.

To be clear, what I was referencing was lyrical continuity. The song types translated well into his native language. Clearly he had a strong grasp of English to aid in that. Short trip through youtube I took in search of film or theater compositions turned up enough live concert evidence of bellbottoms and leisure suits to scare me away from noticing that an album in English was present.

I guess it must pose a real challenge to translate a poetic song from one language to another, keeping its meaning and lyrical continuity, but - it still sounds great in English.

Came across it in the wrapper somewhere and thought it looked interesting. Turned out to be a highly sympathetic mastering and choice of source material.
