Chick Corea - Rendevous in NY w/musician plucked from 9 bands that Chick previously worked with. Recorded live at the Blue Note over a weekend in 2003. The arrangements were all for small groups. (one sextet, one quintet, but mostly duets, trios and quartets.) Great windows open to the sea-air kind of listen.

Spinning this album right now. Original pressing from 1981 and only played twice when my brother bought it brand new when he first joined the Marines... No ticks or pops, and almost no surface noise!

 

 

 

Daniel Avery – DJ-Kicks - wonderful album - Daniel's own A Mechanical Sky sounds insanely HUGE.

 

 

It's good to come back to classic. This Japanese version really sounds spectacular. One of the best in my collection. What is your favourite The Wall edition?
