What's Spinning Tonight?

Right now on the SL-1200G☝:

A new combo never tried here before. The Koetsu Blue Lace is now for the first time going through the AirTight ATH-2 Reference SUT and into the MM input on the D’Agostino Momentum phonostage. Don’t know why I haven’t tried this before as it is a killer setup :D !!!

Ghost - Opus Eponymous from 2010 on yellow splatter vinyl at 33rpm. Enjoy ;) !

Clearly you improve the signal to noise of the phono amp (lower gain) and a better match of the low-impedance cartridge. They always benefit from the mc transformer, regardless of whether it is in front of a transistor or tube phono.

Thank you Stephan,

I know - I just never used the Blue Lace in this configuration before. I have always used other cartridges. I’m glad I have tried it now. Gives me yet ””another”” high kick blast in the audioroom - This hobby is so much fun :D !!
