What is it that you are spinning tonight?

 

She’s very good. She’s going to be at the Seabreeze Jazz Festival in Panama City next April. We’re going. Many others going as well, Richard Elliot & Rick Braun (R n R), Euge Groove, Everette Harp (Jazz Funk Soul), Pieces of a Dream, Paul Taylor, Julian Vaughn, Lindsey Webster, Peter White, and many more.

I saw on her website that she is scheduled to play in St. Louis Nov 26 though it curiously states site TBD. If she does I will likely make the 4 hour or so drive up. That will be a great lineup in Panama City. I've seen Pieces of a Dream & Paul Taylor a few times , always good.

Gorillaz – The Fall - 2010 - great album - still find it hard to believe Damon wrote this on tour in the USA and recorded it on his iPhone.

Dire Straits – Love Over Gold - original 1982 UK pressing masterdisk RL - probably haven't played this in over 10 years. It Never Rains still has the best guitar playing Mark has ever done - imo.

 

 

JARV IS... – Beyond The Pale - Jarvis Cocker's new band. really good album, excellent production and very good pressing.

 

 

The Verve – Urban Hymns - original UK pressing

Seminal album. The video for Bittersweet Symphony is excellent, though I do personally enjoy Lucky Man track more.

 

 

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Blood Sugar Sex Magik - 1991 original Euro pressing. Peppers masterpiece and unfortunately everything that followed is boring schiit. the sound on this is the bomb - lean, fast, funky and mighty mean.

The Beatles – The Beatles And Esher Demos - The Esher demo's are just so amazing - everyone should own them. the first unplugged before unplugged was invented.

 

Listening to some “House of Waters.” They use a Hammered Dulcimer in their music.

It sounds GREAT playing thru our system.
