Hello Members,

i am looking a finished product which will absorb specifically 28Hz.
Is there a place where i can buy a finished Helmholz other other absorber which will do that?
The measurements is with 1/12 Octave and the space between each line is 5db

Many thanks

Florian

PS: I am currently awaiting a repsonse from SMT; which was recommended in my old thread

I doubt you will kill that node with physical treatment

3 courses of action IMO

1) sit somewhere else out the node
2) use DSP parametric eq
3) use 2+ subs in a distributed bass system ... used to smooth the room

We probably need a little more info such as the room shape, construction, where you are sitting, and most importantly, if there are any limits of where you can place acoustic traps. Do you have any other treatments in the room? I have seen the SMT traps attack such a peak significantly. A few others offer adjustable traps for a limited frequency range, and there are yet others who have diaphragmatic traps which absorb energy over a specific frequency range. GIK and a few others offer options like these traps targeted at the 30-60Hz range. I would e-mail them and see if they can easily make the trap deeper to shift the center down to 30Hz which would be ideal in your room.

Along with the info, I would start measuring to see where such traps might be useful. What you are looking for are locations for traps that the observed peak is also present. A trap does no good if there's no energy there to absorb. In this case I am guessing you have a common 5.5-6m dimension, and any of the boundaries/corners in that dimension will show the peak, but it's always best to measure and confirm if you have the microphone.
