You need massive good and expensive output transformer and high voltage (1500Vdc)to run this beasts good. The filament current is terrible( 10 volt/10ampere 100watt) inrush go up to 20ampere.

I haven't installed one yet, but I think you'll get a detailed measurement report. maybe you ask thomas mayer here who also uses them OPT as far as i know.
Exsample OPT 833 tube from diyaudio
We should also be mindful that A . Not all manufacturers SE Triode amplifiers invariably measure high THD as compared to other valve based topologies mostly employing NF and GNF, and B . How the SE amplification THD combines with the THD of ones transducer of choice ( more complex than merely the sum of the two ) … Edward De Lima wrote an interesting article on this very subject :
It’s a pity you post without serious thought or knowledge of the topology…or what live un amplified music sounds like. SS guys could easily say the same about you CAT electronics…they would be wrong too.

You can’t argue if someone likes something but you can for sure argue if two things sound different or not. If there is deviation from live sound can be heard and debated…if you prefer the bleached sound cannot be debated.

It is when it comes to preferences. As long as that person acknowledges it sounds different from a live event but says, “I don’t care, I like it better how my stereo does it”…well not much left to discuss.

Well, there is a range within which (unamplified) live sound falls. If a system is to sound believable the reproduction must fall within that range. Where within that range you want most of your sound to fall in home reproduction may be a matter of taste and preference.
For example, some may prefer a more earthy, robust sound, some may prefer a more 'airy' sound -- all possible within the range of what live sound can offer, depending on venue and seat within it (and nobody really knows precisely how the music sounded at the time it was recorded in the hall, as well as the vantage point, position of microphones, it was recorded from).
Yet once a system sound falls outside that range of believability, it's artificial and just wrong. That's not merely a matter of taste and subjectivity anymore.
May be Morricab and Al can demonstrate their superior logic and understanding with a simple Vid of their system
Because words are just that ..... words
