Zero distortion: linear trackers

I had the Kondo IO-M, which I find the best of the lot. I still have only a few hours on the Etsuro Gold, so I’m still holding my breath.
The Kondo has more tone and texture, it is less hi-fi (stage width and depth are less prominent), but it just sucks you into the music like no other cartridge I had.
The Bordeaux came before the Kondo, I found it a bit colored in the mid bass region.
I also have the MSL Gold, which I really like and is my backup cartridge. It’s a great allrounder.

I also tried the Miyajima Infinity on the linear arm, and it worked great!
But due to my stereo vs mono records ratio, I’d rather have a main stereo cartridge on my linear arm.
Great thanks...

Once the Etsuro Gold is burned inn please let us know how it sounds on your lt and vs Kondo io-m..?

Compares to pivoted Kuzma 14 4p

How does that Acapella sound compared to Cessaro Zeta?

How does that Acapella sound compared to AG Trio G3?

Why are the speakers pushed up against the front wall (it looks like)?

interesting. at least 3 Clearaudio turntables, maybe 4.

is that a dealer or manufacturer? or private system?
He is a car dealer. I met 2 car dealer audiophiles this week. Who would have thought you would be such an inspiration to many

Oh, if I could play you the videos to compare with Altec and Universum or admire audio etc, and of course Jeroen’s and Tang’s Cessaros. But you do think in terms of price brackets

The basics will come through over phone videos. Price does not matter with these comparisons. Which combinations present the music more convincingly?

The clearaudio LT was way more agile, nuanced and musical than the Kuzma 4p with both having GFS.

Horns will eventually play the videos, I will check if impressions correspond to in room listening.

Here’s a brief look at the room

I have begun my long anticipated upgrade. I bought the Holbo. It’s been here about two weeks. My old recently rebuilt Paua is on it. At 12g it’s pushing the limit for max weight. The counterweight has very little additional room to move further outboard. This turntable has throughly exceeded any expectations I had. I have been playing an old VPI Classic for about ten years. The differences are stark. The clarity and smoothness of the Holbo are a new experience. The 0.2ohm Haniwa HCTR-CO MkIi and its attendant current mode phono stage are coming soon. It wants to track at less than 1g. The Hobo linear tracker is just over 7g effective mass. It should be an excellent match. Bob Bean, the Haniwa rep is also sending the 2nd tier cart in case the top one doesn’t like the tonearm cabling. It’s apparently very finicky and needs extreme low capacitance. This will be a huge upgrade from the Sutherland 20-20 and Soundsmith cart. The SIT4 is also here, it with the Nenuphar is incredible.IMG_1618.jpeg
