Tinka's friend's wedding in the countryside of Gijon, a city North of Madrid, was wonderful.

Spanish people definitely know how to have fun!

We were going to drive around the North coast of Spain for a few days, but the weather there has turned gloomy.

So, tomorrow, we are flying to a city in Africa called Marrakesh.

Do we have any members in Marrakesh?

Just let us know where to send the ransom money Ron !

Haha, I'm just considering anyone demanding a ransom for Ron lol.

Given the choice between Seattle and Marrakesh, I think Ron should definitely go to Morocco.

What spoilsports.

I'm sure the rugs in your listening room and wherever else they are destined will be quite worth the adventure.

As long as you don't get rolled up in one ! ;)

Marrakech is nice, you must check out the souks. A word of warning do not shake any bodies hands, they will not let go till they make you buy something. ;)

Ron -
Nanc & I visited Marrakesh during our trip to Morocco, about 12 years ago.
We took the overnight "Marrakesh Express" from Tangier (Just like the CS&N song).
Favorite cities were Fez and Chefchouen.
It was fun to walk through the big central market area of Marrakesh.
Have fun!

Ron, I was there for my cousin's wedding around 2005. I think it was before the Arab Spring. His parents built this house when they moved there from Paris. It was a lovely few days. Be sure to check out the markets and rug stores. I enjoyed the mint tea. If you can, try to get out to the Atlas Mountains. Here are some photos. The architecture is beautiful. A lot of French and Germans moved there about twenty years ago, though I don't know what it is like now. It was quite trendy and chic to visit back then.

My wife and I during our visit:

Indeed--its mesmerising country--I was there in the late 70's--

I'd suspect many changes --some good some not so maybe--word of caution I'd be wary of letting the charmers in the Medina(s)

layering a Cobra around your neck for the pic

They supposedly yank the teeth out of those-( the snake not the dude)-but one never knows

Enjoy and travel safe!

Thank you, everybody, for your kind suggestions, and for the amazing photos!

My best friend's wife is from Marrakesh (I guess she's my second best friend by association Lol)...she says go there, don't miss out on a unique experience.
