Advice on hifi system around 25-30k euro

Btw, if you have a bigger room, where you can pull put speakers from the front and side walls, suggest devore orangutans O/96 with new audio frontiers integrated 2a3 amp

You should build some A26's for fun. Make a mini system (like Jeff and I are doing).

If tannoy, you need to go vintage. Preferably gold or hpd or older. New ones are awful.

10” good, 12” better, 15” awesome. The bigger cabinet the better.

Vintage tannoys demand and deserve analogue. Treat yourself to a classic idler: garrard 301, 401, thorens td 124 or a pimped lenco.

Copland’s integrated valve and hybrid amps are good one stop solutions (cta 504 and csa 28 for example). Phono but no built-in dac.
Vintage luxman can also be good for example L100.

Abbas dacs are the best.

Save a bit of money for a valve phono stage upgrade, and spend the rest on LPs from analogue productions.

The latest Tannoy Westminsters are anything but awful.

I doubt they've gotten any better.

They could do snare drum and scale like pretty much nothing. However, in direct comparison to my monitor golds
they sounded muffled. As if someone had thrown a duvet over them.

I demo'ed this to several people who were shocked. I regret not having videos of their facial expressions.

Clearly the tannoy engineers never bothered doing this type of comparison.

These were westminster royal se built in 2013. I had them in my kitchen.

Interesting. What enclosures did you use for the Golds?
